Remarks

I basically applied for 2 colleges one was jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow and the other was IBS Hyderabad. I did not attend the process of IBS Hyderabad as it required me to travel to Hyderabad for the admissions process. On the other hand, the process of jaipuria Lucknow was conducted in Varanasi itself. There was no such age criteria for admission into jaipuria Lucknow and talking about the eligibility criteria and admission they accepted scores of MAT, CAT and CMAT. On the day of counselling, we were assembled at the place where firstly our various documents were verified. Thereafter groups on a random basis were formed which consisted of 10 members each. Group were taken to the conference room for GD. Case based GD took place. After the GD we went for a personal interview. We were informed that a cumulative score of GD and Personal interview will be taken into consideration for final admission to college and results shall be communicated to us via mail.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because I always wanted to go for higher studies and being done my bachelor's in BBA the next step was this only. Talking about the student faculty ratio there is approximately 1 teacher to every 15 students. The faculty at Jaipuria Lucknow is one of the most qualified faculty one would find. Most of the teachers have PhD degrees and have their papers published in various reputed journals. The finance faculty have great teachers 4 of them have successfully cleared CA. PGDM is a trimester based course where exams happened every 3 and half months. The level of exams was moderate to difficult since it was completely practical based papers with only case studies.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Many good companies visit the campus for internships. Companies like ITC, Amazon, careers 360, Tata AIG, etc have visited campus. Internships have been in all the sector from marketing to finance to operations to analytics. The projects given is of great benefit to students understanding the practical aspects of the company. For example, I did my internship in PNB housing finance ltd. Where I was a marketing intern and my project title was the enhancement of brand guidelines and communication strategy. This project helped me in understanding the branding concept and application of the same. Talking about the stipend it differs from company to company and students can get up to 25000-30000 as internship stipends.

Placement Experience

4

The placements of my college are good. Many big brands over the years are visiting the campus for the placement process. Companies like HDFC, HUL, Amazon, Infosys have visited campus. During these difficult times also, college is doing a great job in getting students placed. Currently, 85% are already placed. The highest package offered this year was 21 lacs and the average package 5.5 lacs( a little less this year pertaining to Covid situations)

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about the fees structure, the fees at my time was 9,85,000 and the fees hike every year ranges between 15000-20000. And about the scholarships students who have a CAT score above 65 get a 10% waiver on the fees and if a student has excellent academic score to date he/she is also eligible to avail waiver. Apart from this, there is a scholarship available for students with tie up with Ifdc first bank. It is for the students whose parents yearly income is less than 6,00,000. The maximum scholarship amount is Rs. 2,00,000. The internships that come on campus also provide a stipend. And the company where I am placed the salary is 5.5 lacs fixed. (Since it is covid, the salary tend to be low) otherwise, the average package is more than 6.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest at Jaipuria is called Ojas and the annual sports Fest is called Mashaal. The social life at Jaipuria is something to look forward to. There are various clubs where students can be part of. Clubs like movie club, dance club, yoga club, etc exist. There is a student excellence council comprising of 16 members 14 are committee coordinator and 1 president and vice president. There is 14 committee where students can be part of. A committee like social responsibility, media relations, alumni, events and conferences, etc. There is a student lounge dedicated to students leisure, it has many indoor games like foosball, table tennis, etc. There is a small cafe inside the campus called life after five where students join after their classes get over and every day some activities take place. The classroom is well equipped with Centralia Ac and have a computer and projector installed. Cameras are there in the classroom and the classes are recorded for students benefit.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostels at Jaipuria is one of the best in terms of the services we get. There are single and double occupancy rooms for the students. Then are AC and non AC rooms. An Ac room comprises of course an Ac, a bed, study table, chair, study lamp, a cupboard just above the study table to store books and other items and a cupboard. Each room has attached washrooms for students. The menu is also very good. We get food 4 times a day. Breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. There is great variety in food. The menu lasts for one month after which on agreement with the students there are changes made in the menu. The quality of the food is also great. On the first day of the admission process wee were asked if we will avail of the hostel or not and accordingly we filled forms and rooms were allotted. Taking into consideration the facilities provided the hostel fees is totally justified and affordable.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, I did went through group discussion and personal interview round for my admission process. The group discussion was a case based round where we were given a case and we were likely to come up with a solution to benefit the concerned organisation. We were given 15 minutes to go through the case and after that, the discussion began. The time allotted was 15 minutes to discuss. After we went through our group discussion round then it was time for our personal interview round. In the interview, there were certain conceptual questions asked from marketing. Questions pertaining to my hobbies and tell me something about yourself and why do you want to join jaipuria were put forward. I prepared myself to answer questions like why do I want to join jaipuria Lucknow and no other campus. Before going for the interview process I researched about the college, reviews, fees structure etc.
