Remarks
I joined this college particularly because this institute was offering me Information Technology Engineering. The faculty for Information Technology department for this college is amazing. SAKEC has many internship opportunities. The placement is also pretty good. The college is very supportive in all aspects. The only disadvantage is travelling from western line like the transport is easily available but it takes time so if you are willing to invest time in travelling then you should opt for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is decided by University of Mumbai but the way teachers teach it is amazing. Lab facilities are also very good with good PCs. The faculty to student ratio in class is 1:70 and in lab it is 1:20. Practical teaching is adopted. Every class has a smart board. Exams were conducted regularly and if you studied syllabus well then it was very easy to pass.
Placement Experience
The training for placements starts right from the beginning of third year of engineering and the training is very good, all aspects are covered. Few companies that visited the campus are LTI, Capgemini, Byjus, etc. The average package is 3-5 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure has hike of almost 10% every year(still I am not sure as I am an alumini). All government based scholarships can be availed by students if they fit into the criteria. There arr no such on-campus jobs on Bachelors level but yes there are alot of internship opportunities.
Campus Life
Pratishtha is the name of the annual cultural fest which takes place every year between february and march for almost 10 days it has various fun events as well as 3-4 days technical fest named Nucleus which again gives a chance to host tech events. Almost all the reference books for the course are available in the library and the library is huge. Classrooms have nice desk and benches and also there is a smart board in each classroom.There is a gym in the college which is accessible to all alongwith a trainer. There is girls common room for girls to take rest. There is table tennis equipment, chess, carrom is also available, there is a ground which can be used to play outdoor sports.
