I chose IES IPS Academy Because it is the best college for Fire and Safety Engineering in the entire Madhya Pradesh state. The good aspects include strictness for maintaining proper attendence and percentage. The bad aspects includes there's no seperate focus on students.

I wanted to do something different than the conventional branches of Engineering. Also in 2016 it had quite good placement percentage and the packages were worth taking the branch. The facilities to student ratio would be (in 2016) for every 20 students there would be 1 faculty. Their qualifications were Engineering and field experience, or Mtech. The teaching methods were quit good, about exams frequency, there are two MSTs before the final exam ( conducted by RGPV back then ). The exams were medium difficult for averege students.

I had summer internship at Gail india limited the project was to 'DESIGNING OF ARGONITE BASED FLOODING SYSTEM AT VDPL SUBSTATION'. It was not a paid internship. The duration was 2 months where we were given tour of the industry and asked to make a project.

There are good placements for FTSE & CS and EC. After passing 6th semester the students are eligible for the placement plan and can face the interview if their percentage are meeting the criteria. The Highest package offered in 2020 was Maruti Suzuki. It was about 8 LPA. About 30-50% Students gets placed through campus carries branch by branch.

There are fests annually organized one of them is SWARANJALI. Swaranjali would be of 2-3 days it includes science projects, singing, dancing etc. The Books available are not suffit for the entire class and the books are also very old. Classroom amenities includes projectors, fans and a clock. There are many sports like Cricket, bedminton, chess etc. There are many groups run by students one of them is SARFAROZ. It's based on spreading awareness.

There are no procedure whatsoever for admission. No GDPI, NO Interview. There is a test that you have to go through that is Jee Mains and you will get admission on the numbers. Also the 12th class percentage had some weitage in 2016. And you were required above average percentage to get admission.
