My Life at SU, SBS Meerut

Because of strong alumni base, top recruiters, infrastructure and affordable fee, I decided to take admission in this college. To enroll myself in this college, I applied for it by filling up the application form and paying Rs. 1100 as application fee. Also, my CAT score was checked and I was called for Personal Interview round and based on the overall performance, I got selected to take admission into this college.

No doubt that the overall course curriculum is very good. Since, we are taken for industry interaction, I got the the opportunity to interact with the people working there. Also, for personality enhancement , grooming sessions are conducted and the soft skills training are given to us. Moreover, the faculties are highly experienced having rich knowledge of industries and corporate sector. Further, their academic background are from eminent institutions and they are so helpful that whenever I have any doubt in any topic and if go to them, they try to clarify at the same time without any delay. Also, it is too easy to clear the semester exams which is organized twice a year and once in each 6 months.

Yes, I opted for internship from my college where I got the opportunity to gain experience through limited work given to me in that very period. Also, I understood the environment of workplace and the skills that will be needed while doing the job. Also, it works as strong resume builder. So, I decided to go for summer internship and learn some skills that will be helpful for me in the corporate world.

Our college placement cell remains active throughout the year and this is the reason, top leading companies visit the campus to provide employment. So the top employers that come for placements are Apollo Hospital, accord communication limited, Birla Soft, Bosch, Capgemini, Cognizant, Dainik Bhaskar, IBM, HLC and others as well. Almost, 70-75% seniors of mine got on-campus placement and rest went for off-campus placement. Most importantly, the highest and the average package offered last year was 8 LPA and 3 LPA respectively.

For two year MBA program, the total tuition fee in my college is 2.4 lakh including other charges of university. And yes, there is scheme for scholarship in my college a few of them are Defense wards scholarship, merit-based scholarship, aadarsh vidyadhan scholarship which is specially of girls and other scholarships provision are also available. However, I availed the merit-based scholarship as I had scored 82 percentile and I got 50% concession in my

My campus life is fully adventurous. I had no idea before joining this college that I will be able to groom myself in such a way. Like earlier, I would speak very less and after taking part in curricular activities my public speaking skills have been developed. Moreover, we go for industrial visit and other facilities like having library where I spend reading magazines and go to canteens with friends. Also, get to interact with students from other departments in activities session. So these are the few things that made my campus life amazing. In addition to all, we have photography club, health club, sports complex and other spaces for having fun.

Yes, I appeared in Personal Interview round and not in GD round as it was not conducted after I got shortlisted on my CAT score. In PI round, so tough questions were asked, I can say it was just a interaction session where I told them about myself and what I studied before. During all these, my communication skills and gestures were checked.
