College with a good potential

Admissions are usually taken by conducting an examination"SRMJEE" which decides the rank of an individual. Maths, Chemistry and physics along with English and mental ability are asked in the examination. there's a quota for girls. after the examination, there's a counselling process in which student may decide to enrol on a particular branch.

it won't be an exaggeration if I would say the world will come to an end without technology, so the reason I chose this program was to make myself industry ready and fully equipped with the knowledge and skills required to make myself more confident and efficient A large number of teachers are PHD here, some are new ones also, but teachers are always ready to help children with any related questions and doubts Examinations are taken care of gratefully! Everyone is treated equally and no quota can be used here, also any malpractices can lead to even restriction, so I must say that examinations are taken very seriously in this college

College does provide internships and different opportunities to students based upon their personality and different set of skills as well as their streams. Usually, the internships are given from 7 Semester though you can apply for more internships if you want to start earlier ( I would recommend that) Many students get a stipend for these internships and some even are pre selected by the company if their work is good.

Placements in this college can vary greatly. If you have good connections to your seniors, teachers and other faculty members, then you can get a very good package till 20LPA, but if you are someone with fewer connections and decent skills then you can get up to 6LPA. A lot of companies do come into the campus including some of the best Tech giants i.e Googe, Microsoft, Infosys etc usually, most of the students are hired on an average package of 5-6LPA but you have to maintain a good score to pass a minimum eligible criteria.

One of the college which is known for fees spike in past few years, the fess is though worth it, I must say because the infrastructure has also to be always updated to the latest technology and hence requires money. Yes, Financial assistance and scholarships are given to the students who get excellent score in the Entrance Examination, and individually do gets a stipend for campus placement.

Life is a bit different at SRM Chennai, due to its south culture, you may find yourself a little bit excluded from people as they have their own cultural bonding and sometimes you may be treated differently by students, though faculty treats everyone equally and hence make the overall Environment stable. there are a lot of Online book sources and a Physical Library at SRM Campus which is a great source for enhancing knowledge of an individual, there are a lot of student committees too, including the Technical committee, Musical committee, Media Committee and many more.

Hostel Life at SRM can vary greatly on how much you pay for them, starting from 1.5Lacs you can have basic facilities, like a decent 3 sharing room with included meal and laundry, but if you're willing to pay more then you can go until the single room with A\C, Laundry and additional snacks too. The registration process is usually done on the website when the forms are released, there you can fill in all your details. in the very first year, college decides with whom do you want to stay, and you can decide in the upcoming year to maintain a balance between children from different backgrounds
