Great experience in MEPCO

I chose this college as my brother suggested it that it has good placement opportunities. I had a good cutoff score and so i got this college on merit. You can also join here in management quota. The staffs are very knowledgable and supportive. The course facilitates the students so much that they are well focused on practical knowledge. Besides academics the college also teach additional qualities like leadership etc. There are many co-curricular clubs to engage students to achieve human relationships. The one disadvantage is that mobile phones are not allowed even inside the hostel.

I chose electronics and communication engineering because I was interested in communication chapters. The staff are selected by a very strict procedure here. So this makes us to get engaged with good staffs with great teaching skills and they will take care whenever one has a doubt. Most of the staffs have conpleted doctorate so they are excellent in their respective fields. We have three interal exams in total with each exam in each month. The difficulty of the exams is average to get pass marks.

Our college offers off-campus internships during the last semester. The companies that recruit are Infosys, Zogo, Wipro, TCS etc. They are given internship training for 4 months with stipend ranging from about Rs12000 to Rs 15000.

The students get eligible for placements from the sixth semester of their course. The companies visiting our college are mostly IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Zogo, CTS, ShopUp. There will also be core companies visiting here. The average salary package for IT companies is Rs30000 per month and for core companies, it depends on the respective company which is visting. More than 80 percent of students got placed in my batch and this is true for all departments.

The academics fees is 1 lakh 10 thousand for a year. The cost will be slightly different for other departments. The government scholarships will be given every year and the college management also gives scholarships for students who scored 85 percent every year. The maximum scholarship a student can get is Rs.25000 for securing a percentage above 95 percent. The management also gives sports scholarships for zonal achievements. I got a job offer in TCS with a stipend of Rs 12000 per month. I got placed here in my final year of my college.

There will be a cultural fest for extracurricular activity named 'Legacy' that will be conducted each year for two days. There will also be a fest for co-curricular activity named 'Gyanmitra' where students from various colleges come and participate here. Apart from these two main events, there will also be many technical events conducted. The library is very useful here because it has many numbers of books of diverse topics and a reader like me will love it. The sports facilities offered here are cricket, hockey, Kho-Kho, football, boxing, tennis and volleyball. There is an indoor stadium which has a badminton court and a gym.

There are members in my room. There is also the availability of a single room for final year students. There is a fixed study time daily from 8 pm to 10.30 pm which is very strict. The food dishes are amazing and for 6 days in a week, they will provide non-veg foods. The hostel is provided by the college management and the wardens are the staff working in the college so one can clarify doubts in the hostel too with the warden.
