Remarks

PSIT is the best private college in Kanpur, besides its big campus, amazing infrastructure, academics and placements this college is well known for its discipline regarding students in all aspects. I took admission on the merit of 12th board and a small PI was held of just 10 mins with the VC before taking admission. Lush green campus, fully air-conditioned smart classes with comfortable table and chair are attractive, canteen is small and not everything is available there moreover it is very expensive inside there stationery shops are also very expensive they charge a lot for photocopies. Faculties are good and somewhat strict also regarding academics they fail students very often it has become their habit now.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

There are around 40-50 students in pharmacy in 1 section and 2 sections are there in total so faculty to student ratio is 1:2 but they manage somehow to teach well in offline mode but they are not very productive in online mode as well. Faculties are not very experienced or pass-outs from great colleges except some though they are supportive and encourage people and guide them also. Exams are taken frequently from time to time and it's not very difficult to pass them a average student also can pass them easily. They are very strict about attendance at all costs one must have to maintain 90% attendance or he/she is not allowed to sit in the exam hall.

Placement Experience

4.5

Kanpur is an industrial area many companies visit here for placements like Infosys, Airtel, TCS, IBM and many more core companies also. This time placement record was around 95% of students got placed from on-campus jobs and rest from off-campus, some prepared for GATE and GRE exams. The highest salary offered was 26LPA offered from Infosys, it has the best placements among all AKTU colleges and the average salary was around 4LPA. From the 3rd year onwards students become eligible for placements and internships and can sit in college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 1,40,000 which increases every year with 2-3% increment in tuition fee and the cost to study is somewhat ok as this is the common fee in other colleges also so no regret at all. They offer scholarships to meritorious students in 10+2 level when they take admission here and they offer a good amount of reduction in their fees only for a first-year fee other than that they also provide the facility to apply for UP scholarship offered by the state government.

Campus Life

4.5

Every year the annual fest is held in the month of December in PSIT campus where some celebrities are invited and there is a concert and lots of fun one can involve family also in the event. The library is big and huge no doubt with a variety of books, comics, journals, and research papers available in the library with all updated versions and the latest edition. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned with projectors and they are maintained from time to time also and the campus has a healthy and hygienic environment with no negativity at all. Raging is banned and not practiced in PSIT at all and seniors are very supportive and encouraging.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
