Remarks
The college is for only girls as the name suggests and the campus is not too big. The staff members are very kind and helpful. Teaching faculties are good enough. The admission is done on merit list basis and if you make it to the list, then there is a small interview of sorts. Nothing big to worry about at all. They can be slightly strict. The college hours for Bcom are generally from morning 9:00 or 10:00 to maximum noon or a little past that. I chose this college mid course because I had a fallout with my previous college. They helped out with admission with my rare case and plight. All in all its one of the top colleges in Lucknow. Its a good place to get your bachelor's degree from.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in commerce. Its one teacher per lecture to 80 odd students, sometimes even less. Most teachers have a doctorate (PhD) or a masters definitely. The faculty is experienced and seasoned. They generally use a black board, which is standard. And there are diagrams and PPTs used when necessary. Teachers are interactive. Attendance is taken per lecture. The exams, well you have to write a lot. Most of the times its a one sentence question for 4-5 pages of answer (as considered ideal). Odd semester- subjective papers. Even semester- MCQs.
Internships Opportunities
Some internship is passed on to students through internet or WhatsApp groups but are completely off campus. Most of the times provide certificate and sometimes some pay too.
Placement Experience
There are no campus placements offered. Its majorly a bachelors college and the only masters degree is MA. Employment is on you, but the college keeps inviting professionals from different industries to the college for seminars and guest lectures to guide the pupil. They are held at least once every week. Sometimes even more times in a week.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is fair . It's somewhere around 22,000 per annum. There are no campus placements or stipend. At least not for B.Com. I don't think I have encountered any scholarship programmes in the college.
Campus Life
There is no hostel. There are different clubs for sports and fine arts which you can join. But they are not highly functional. Books are available in abundance. The library is resourceful. You get a library card each year, to help you issue books. There is no websites run by students for students. Only official college website. In January there is the college fest Nazrana-E-Awadh.
Interview Experience
There was a small Q&A session. 2-3 professors will ask one or two questions to you. Its not an interview only a small Q&A. You will have to fill out 2 drafts for bank for fees. But nothing big on the entrance procedure. Once you make the merit list, they tell you when you will have your interview. You will have to keep checking the college notice board.
