Banasthali Vidyapith: Not just a University but an emotion

The college provides a broad field of study be it in the terms of academics or sports or overall growth of a individual. I was very much impressed by the diligence and grace of the former students of Banasthali Vidyapith so i always wanted to be a part of such a University that provides overall knowledge and nourishes the individual as a person.

The course is divided into 8 semesters which makes things easy to grasp with such helpful and experienced faculty that they make learning easy and fun and the classes feel like a very friendly environment. The faculty is very generous and are always there to help and provide you time to clear up your doubts any time. The teachers are very much experienced with teaching experience of about 10-15 years. The course curriculum is made very easy to follow and cover up with 5-6 subjects per semester. Exams are conducted twice a semester for the internals and once at the end of the semester which marks the end-sem examinations.

The students are supposed to build a final project in their third/final year of studies. The university provides the option to go for internships outside the campus in companies like Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, etc. or either go for in-house internships. The internships are generally paid internships with stipends of up to 25-30k per month. During internships, the students can also avail the PPO according to their performances during the internship period.

Banasthali Vidyapith provides 100% placement to students with companies like Infosys, Hughes Software, Flipkart, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, etc. It provides internship opportunities to students with either in-house internship opportunities or in the companies visiting the campus. The highest package is about 24 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA for B.Tech(Computer Science). You can wish to continue to study and opt for Masters in the desired field or take the job offer.

The university provides various scholarships opportunities throughout the year and the applicants can apply to the scholarships and are selected as per the qualifications which is generally the need based criteria. On campus jobs are not allowed on campus however the university offers in-house Internship programs for the third/fourth year students and the students can participate in the internship programs upon completion of which they are provided with the internship completion certificates.

The campus is spread over 850 acres of land which includes two markets, a lot of hostels and the departments of various fields. There is a lot of activity stuff that any person can do and learn like horse-riding, swimming, football, basketball, tennis, lawn tennis, archery, yoga, and a lot more. There is a gym and basketball court, cricket ground, canteens and a temple at the end of the campus. The campus provides a very peaceful environment to an individual where one can find peace of mind and go for walks or just enjoy nature with plenty of trees and birds around which are now a rare sight in the outside world.

The university is fully residential and is India's largest Women's Fully Residential University. The hostels are very clean and beautiful with rooms provided with a cupboard of large size, bed, study table, chair. The beds are provided with space which offers extra storage space. The mess hall is huge and the food is very healthy with special meals on Tuesdays. The mess hall opens for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

There was only an Aptitude test which played a key role in the admission process along with the 12th marks. There was also a general Personality test for 30 minutes in which we were provided with the question paper and we had to fill out the answers to the questions in the MCQ format. The admission is given solely on the basis of the qualifications and ability of the candidate.
