Best Government Engineering College in Odisha

It has almost 100% placement history in the past few years that's why this college's demand is sky high. It has a good wifi connection which you will get after your 1st or so. It has good faculties that will also eagerly help through your bad times i. e if you get a back paper or so. Don't forget to get in touch with Biswajeet Sir. He is a lecturer in the Chemistry demand, but he is like a godfather of this college. He has been in this institution from time immemorial. Practical equipment are not there or if there not working. Wifi doesn't allow you to use torrent files. Food quality in the canteen is not upto the mark. You have to through JEE MAINS for getting in college. You have to go through the OJEE portal. If you are selected then the college will decide a date and you have to verify your documents physically and get your admission.

The course is B.Tech ( Bachelor of Technology ).I was aiming for CSE ( Computer Science Engineering ) branch. But I got Mechanical Engineering according to my JEE rank. The faculty-student ratio is almost 15:1. Almost all the faculties are P.Hd holders or at least they have done master degree in their area of expertise. The teaching is average as we can expect from a government engineering college. The teachers are very punctual in taking classes and taking assignments. The term exams were on time, but due to the current pandemic, the 2nd semester onwards exams were delayed. Exams were quite easy to pass.

Students become eligible in the 7th semester onwards. Companies visiting our college includes TATA, Godrej, Microsoft, Accenture, Maruti, etc. The highest package was given by Microsoft @43 lakhs/annum, and the average package is 3.5 lakhs/annum. Almost 95%+ people get placed in the college placement itself. I want to join RBI as a Grade B officer. So good luck to me.

There is as such no fee hike policy. The 4 years fee in the BTech program is around 2 lakhs INR without hostel fees. I have not got any job as I still a student. There is as such no scholarship provided by the college.

There are two fests arranged every year. Tech fest- Xtasy, Annual fest - Perception, and it is celebrated around Feb-march every year. There is a general library in the academic block and a technical library in the engineering department. Classrooms are normal with basic objects like bulb, fans, benches. Some classes are digital classes. CSE branch classes are AC enabled. There is an indoor badminton-cum- table-tennis court. There is a big playground for both cricket and football. Also, there is a basketball court and volleyball court. There is extra basketball courts in every boy's hostel. There are clubs based on dance, music, IT such as Zairza, etc.

There are 3 beds in a single room without AC. The meal quality is more than awesome. Weekly 3 days nonveg facility is also there. For the hostel, a merit list will be generated by the college authorities according to your JEE rank if you are a fresher, or if you ongoing student then your grade sheet upto last semester whose results would have been published.
