Remarks

A decent enough college with average placements (but an excellent ROI) and a good infrastructure. Promotes peer learning with competent student-driven ventures and provides an unparalleled campus experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum at IMT Nagpur aims to inculcate as many practical, real-world learnings as possible with the limitations of a theoretical approach. Harvard case studies are primarily used in lectures and student-teacher interactions are encouraged throughout.

The pandemic has greatly affected the internship situation, with companies reluctant on hiring students for work from home roles. Despite the setback, the institute does provide a few good internship opportunities with PPO as well.

Placements at the institute are quite decent. Past recruiters include Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, TATA AIG, Amazon, Nielsen, KPMG, Bain & Company, Ernst & Young, Zomato, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Oyo, Paytm, and Philips.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee of 1200000 is all-inclusive and remains unchanged for the batch of 2020-22 considering the pandemic. Students who score above 90 percentile in CAT can avail additional scholarships of up to 65%.

Campus Life

Currently I am in first year so I have not been placed as of yet but the placemnets for our seniors is on going which is the first batch of MBA HCM and hence I would not be able to reveal the cokmpanies. The few summer internship companies though were Apollo, Nanavati, BMJ etc.

First green B-School in India

Remarks:

The faculties here are very supportive and some of them are always available on campus to help the students and mentor the students to groom them. They always push the students to learn by doing; which is experiential learning. The set up the talks and sessions from industry leaders time to time to keep the students and themselves update about the changes in the corporate world and make them ready to face the challenges.

IMT Nagpur- Thriving in a Student-Run Environment

Eligibility for this course is an undergraduate degree. Additionally one has to appear for an entrance exam like Cat, Xat or Cmat. For cat and xat a safe percentile is above 80 to get an interview call. For cmat one can target above 95 percentile. The application form is available online and one can apply either for all campuses of IMT through common application form or just IMT Nagpur. The form fee is around ?1000 to ?2000. The form is opened before cat exam and generally also re-opened before or after cat / xat results. One can expect form to reopen before CMAT exam as well. The admission process was smooth as it was online when i appeared for it. There was an essay test, a Statement of purpose and a personal interview with 2 panelists. The difficulty level can be increased for the interview. Otherwise they also conduct offline interviews now in various cities so there should not be a problem. Good Aspects - 1) Quality Mess with edible food. We have a day each in a week of egg and chicken biryani respectively. 2) One of the best Learning and Resource Centers in the country.
