Remarks

Good remarks, college will help you if you truly possess some talent. Only thing you need is good impression among staff members. Bad remarks, teaching staff can't be worse anymore in this college. Making us attend classes compulsory is stupid as it sound

Entrance Preview

I gave University entrance examination and scored pass marks. The reason why I opt out for this college is nothing crucial.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course curriculum almost followed Anna University curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

There were no Internship companies which came to our college as far as I know. Maybe there were one or two but I'm not sure. I might be wrong. But am sure 90% there were no companies hiring students for internship programs.

Placement Experience

2

As I said, mostly students were on their own. Though there were companies hiring students for job placements. But very few were lucky to get joining letters.

College Events

3.5

About the events. There were handful of them. College regularly organised some sort of event let it be cultural, technical, for each and every department separately. Moreover there were national conferences almost everyday in our college auditorium.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible for me though. But year after year it started becoming expensive for my juniors. I cant say much on this, it's better to ask them about this question. Well hostel facilities were quite expensive considering what they actually offered when compared to students staying in apartments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, loan facilities were available as well as scholarships. Whether they are good, I can't decide that as I don't have fair idea on them. I never availed such facilities anyway.

Campus Life

2

Campus life was quite boring. Long story short. Anyway, there were extra curricular activities including sports, debates, jams, etc. But I never participated so I can't judge how good were they as they were not my field of interest. In robotics our college tops India as they claim but I don't know how true is the fact.

Hostel Facilities

1

I would rate 4/10 for stay in hostel. Due to dirty toilets and blocked drains. And for mess food I would rate 3/10, because me as a North Indian. I never liked their food, that maybe just me but as for my friends opinions doesn't differ.

Alumni/Alumna

Considering my alumni network, I never got attached to any of them as I stayed to myself most of the time. Never got involved with other students or college staff nembers. My only friends were my room mates. Considering seniors I never talked to anyone in the first place.

Exam Structure

Considering chennai climate. Every day was hectic anyway no matter how chilled you are in your activities. Jokes aside, it was okay in all sense. College never put pressure on us in exams or labs.

Faculty

0.5

Faculty was the worst part of this college. But still students were forced to attend classes and maintain minimum attendance percentage which was torture to face those staff members. If we complain about them to our HOD we felt pity for those guys and rem

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
