Remarks

The biggest reason for me to join IMT Nagpur was its huge alumni base. The college has been in existence for more than 14 years now and many batches have passed and are in good positions in the industry. Plus we also get the advantage of the alumni of other sister concerns of our institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is terrific here. Every professor has previous on-ground experience in the industry. Their practical knowledge really helps us to understand things better. A lot of them have published research papers which they share with us from time to time which exposes us to the latest happenings in the area of their expertise.

Internships Opportunities

The summer internship process is conducted starting in October. A lot of good companies come to the campus to take interns. A lot of startups also come under Voyage which is the annual startup fair where I was placed.

Placement Experience

Placemats will start early this year. A lot of good companies come to the campus and take cream students. There is 100 percent placement every year. The highest package is 16 lacs and the average is 7 .5 lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were reduced by 2 lacs for our batch around the time covid started. There are many scholarship options that the institute provides. There are a number of merit-based scholarships for the 2nd year students based on their 1st year results.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is great! The food is really good as compared to other hostel mess'. The hostel rooms are spacious and the campus is buzzing all the time. The campus is lively at 11 in the morning as well as at 4 in the morning.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is great. The rooms are very spacious and great for two people. There are also single occupancy rooms available. The washrooms are cleaned 3 times a day. The corridors are very clean. Housekeeping comes on weekends to mop the rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Interview Experience

There was a group activity where we had to come up with a marketing plan for a new credit card. We were given the material for designing the posters. They also wanted to see our creative side. This was followed by a personal interview where they asked GK questions.

Placement Experience:

Currently I am in first year so I have not been placed as of yet but the placemnets for our seniors is on going which is the first batch of MBA HCM and hence I would not be able to reveal the cokmpanies. The few summer internship companies though were Apollo, Nanavati, BMJ etc.

Remarks:

The faculties here are very supportive and some of them are always available on campus to help the students and mentor the students to groom them. They always push the students to learn by doing; which is experiential learning. The set up the talks and sessions from industry leaders time to time to keep the students and themselves update about the changes in the corporate world and make them ready to face the challenges.

IMT Nagpur- Thriving in a Student-Run Environment

Eligibility for this course is an undergraduate degree. Additionally one has to appear for an entrance exam like Cat, Xat or Cmat. For cat and xat a safe percentile is above 80 to get an interview call. For cmat one can target above 95 percentile. The application form is available online and one can apply either for all campuses of IMT through common application form or just IMT Nagpur. The form fee is around ?1000 to ?2000. The form is opened before cat exam and generally also re-opened before or after cat / xat results. One can expect form to reopen before CMAT exam as well. The admission process was smooth as it was online when i appeared for it. There was an essay test, a Statement of purpose and a personal interview with 2 panelists. The difficulty level can be increased for the interview. Otherwise they also conduct offline interviews now in various cities so there should not be a problem. Good Aspects - 1) Quality Mess with edible food. We have a day each in a week of egg and chicken biryani respectively. 2) One of the best Learning and Resource Centers in the country.
