LNCT Bhopal review

My college gives admission through JEE mains. Generally admissions happens in June-July. First sem starts from August. Fees is deposited through cheque,de or online modes. Uniform fees is taken at the time of admission only one time in 4 years. Bus facility is available. Bus fees is mandatory every year and students from Bhopal,Raisen,Sehore,Mandideep,Obedullaganj all come through buses. Hostel facility is only available for 1st year students for both boys and girls. College administration is very strict against ragging or other mishcievous activities. No ragging takes place. Best thing about College is highest number of placements from MP and lot of opportunities tonbe placed innbig companies like Amazon,VMware,Infosys,Cognizant,Wipro etc. Bad aspect is College is strict about attendence.

I chose Computer Science because I love maths and computation. Course curriculum is designed by University and is not to the modern day industry requirements. Students need to make efforts from their side to achieve good placement.Faculty student ration is 1:60. Faculties are either MTech or PHd. Teaching method is like schools students have to make notes while teachers dictate. Exams occur timely and are easy to pass.

Campus start coming in starting of 7th sem in month of June. Companies like tech systems,value labs,Wipro,amdocs,cognizant,Infosys etc come for campus recruitment. Average package is 3.6 lpa. Highest package is 19lpa by VMware. Almost 50% students from all branch and 90-100% from computer science gets placed. Some students opt for MTech,MBA or civil services after graduation. I accepted offer from an MNC.

Tech fest occurs every year or once in 2 year depending on College administration. It happens in December/Jan. Sports event called Lnct Olympics occurs in April every year. Library is huge and a good number of books from both foreign and Indian writers as well National and International journals are available. Extracurricular activities are minimum and there are only 2-3 clubs in college like photography club, social works club called raahat, literary club and recently a programming club run by Google dsc has opened.

Fees ranges from 85000-90000 depending on branch. Tution fee waiver is available for few students who opt for it during counselling. Scholarship for obc,sc,st and minority students is provided by state/central gilovernment if proper documnets submitted to scholarship department of College. No College level aid available for fees. One can easily get a job through campus if average in studies and hard working. Average placeme offer is 3.6 lpa.

Hostel is only for first year.Meal is below average(only Sunday special is average) for boys for girls its average. Hostel is inside campus only and daily needs shops are also present inside campus. Two students share a room in boys hostel and three in a room in girls hostel. Hostel registration is on first come first take basis. After first year student can easily get room or pg in Indrapuri,Patel Nagar, MP Nagar etc localities which where large population of students from alll colleges of Bhopal lives.
