Remarks
i got EEE,Firstly, some positive stuffs. Cultural diversity, labs, placements all these are good you get enough of everything. Lots of companies visit the campus specially for IT/CS branch and one can get proper opportunities to try out their skills and luck in big companies even the likes of Microsoft and Google. But what matters is what they teach and what you take away after four years of college life. My answer ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGThey follow a syllabus i dont know of which generation it has nothing to do with what actually is in demand and what is required from a professional software engineer.Computer labs have topics like java beans, socket programming and basic coding problems like prime number, Fibonacci series etc and am talking about second & third year. So i basically did nothing similar to what i am doing today as a dot net developer. In final year we were asked to write programs in java to find area of circle and so on. Just imagine anyone who has opted for IT/CS in engineering would have basically done this in his school life.Moving on to the projects. You cannot learn any coding language without implementing it in a real world project. We hoped that we might end up learning something in our project eventually but in SRM you cannot do your own project. We were a team of 4 member, each one of us paid 5K and we were asked to buy a already implemented project from a list of projects given to us yes BUY

Internships Opportunities
No internship you have to find you own. internships are done to get practical knowledge as well as to utilize the skills that you have. But students take it an advantage and submit fake certificate to the college and get marks in any college. In SRM every student must have internship program after 4 SEM and 5 SEM. That is student have internship credits in SEM 5 and SEM 6.
Placement Experience
They are good because every student gets ample opportunities to land a job. There is a catch though. It depends on your percentage and department though. Having a percentage of 80 and above lets, you sit for 95% of companies. And having a percentage over 70 gives you 70% of companies. Plus if you have computer science background then don't worry you get most opportunities. They are good because the whole process is carried out in a professional and systematic approach. I never faced any issues during my interviews or anything.Ample amount of training is provided by the College before the placement season starts that helps you in improving your aptitude and soft skills required during interview rounds of the companies.Salary range. There is a job for each student based on his Calibre. As the saying goes. If you have it in you, no one can take it from you. Jobs start from 3 lacs up to 34 lacs. Jobs above 10 lacs are scarce but at the end of the day, you are in SRM. There were about 90% of jobs in the range of 5äóñ10 lacs if you remove the mass placement.
