Remarks

The reason behind joining the college was the IMT brand name & I couldn't afford to give entrance exams again due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The good thing about IMT Nagpur is that it is completely student-driven which gives you an opportunity to be part of various Committees, Academic Forums, etc which can prove beneficial for your personal & professional growth. One of the drawbacks of the college, in my opinion, is the ROI, given that the average salary that a candidate gets is 7.94 LPA, the fees of 12 lakhs seems a bit expensive, if the management can bring it down to 10 lakhs then it would be better. The admission process is similar to that of any B School, you have to appear for GDPI rounds & they shortlist on the basis of that along with your Entrance Exam Scores.

Faculty to Student Ratio is approximate, 1:45 The faculty members are very qualified in their respective fields but some of them are very old school in their teaching methods which many times does not prove effective.

Internships Opportunities

Many Startups come to the campus to give Summer Internship. The stipend is in the range of 10-15 K per month. But having said that majority of the students ended up doing their internship for free due to the pandemic.

Placement Experience

The Final placements usually start by the end of the 4th term. Companies like Bain& Co, CRISIL, Goldman Sachs all visit the campus for various profiles. The highest package goes to about 15 LPA & the average package 7.94 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 12 L for the entire program. Generally, the management used to increase the fees but given the pandemic situation that is not happening. The scholarship is provided to students who score 90+ percentile in CAT & XAT, which results in the total fees being close to 5 lakhs.

Campus Life

IMT Nagpur has as many as 30 student-driven committees, Academic forums, Student Ventures. The college hosts many fests. The Library is state of the art. There are tons of sports & extracurricular activities that happen on the campus almost on a daily basis.

Interview Experience

Basic topics like current affairs were asked in the PI, one should read the newspaper daily to be able to sail through the PI Instead of GD, they had Group Activity which tested all the participant's ability to work in a team.

First green B-School in India

Remarks:

The faculties here are very supportive and some of them are always available on campus to help the students and mentor the students to groom them. They always push the students to learn by doing; which is experiential learning. The set up the talks and sessions from industry leaders time to time to keep the students and themselves update about the changes in the corporate world and make them ready to face the challenges.

IMT Nagpur- Thriving in a Student-Run Environment

Eligibility for this course is an undergraduate degree. Additionally one has to appear for an entrance exam like Cat, Xat or Cmat. For cat and xat a safe percentile is above 80 to get an interview call. For cmat one can target above 95 percentile. The application form is available online and one can apply either for all campuses of IMT through common application form or just IMT Nagpur. The form fee is around ?1000 to ?2000. The form is opened before cat exam and generally also re-opened before or after cat / xat results. One can expect form to reopen before CMAT exam as well. The admission process was smooth as it was online when i appeared for it. There was an essay test, a Statement of purpose and a personal interview with 2 panelists. The difficulty level can be increased for the interview. Otherwise they also conduct offline interviews now in various cities so there should not be a problem. Good Aspects - 1) Quality Mess with edible food. We have a day each in a week of egg and chicken biryani respectively. 2) One of the best Learning and Resource Centers in the country.
