Course Curriculum Overview

Relevant,Research Driven and fair Course of five years of Ayurvdacharya we are well taught both allapathic and Ayurvedic aspect of various diseases in the subjects of anatomy physiology Biochemistry pharmacollogy pathology.Jurisprudence and toxicology medicine.and surgery and their ayurvedic counteparts.

Placement Experience

Yes.I did my internship in various Hospitals as per our subjects.i.e.Medicine,Surgery,Eye and ENT.Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics,Paediatrics,Psychiatry.

College Events

Annual Prize Distribution,Sports Day and convocation. Students from all the five yrs batches participate in sports like walikng race. Running 100 mts 200 mts 500mts hocky football volley ball Cricket etc and winners are presented Ist 2nd and 3rd rank.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fee annually paid Rs 5,000 Subjectwise Practical fees is also taken extra as 500 per practicals. Mode of payments may be by cheque or cash but fee is taken every year for continously five years. Some funds are alsi included in the fee structure as Library fund, Sports fund,electicity charges etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes Merit Scholarship Rs 6000 annual merit scholarship.Boys or girl students who Tops in their respective classes are selected for scholarship. Amount depending upon the decision of the institution.

Campus Life

2:1 ratio of Boys and girls are admitted according to merit of their respective marks obtainedin plus two medical class respectively Total no of 75 students are admitted in First year of GAMS Which is five yrs course. in which 50 boys and 25 girls are selected.Now Govt. has converted this degree to BAMS ( Bacheolar of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)

Hostel Facilities

60 Rooms with Dormentries sharing and cubicles. There is a separate girls hostel with 20 rooms is also situated keeing the distance of atleast 600 mts on the otherside of boys hostel Boys have to pay 10,000 per year and same is fees for girls.Mess expenses are paid extra by both girls and boys.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, Seniors are very helpful. One can get their guidance during studies and share their clinical experience. Any subject which is unable to understand must be taken into cosideration of seniors so that they may guide properly without any hesitation.

Admission

After doing Pre-Medical( Plus 2) in Medical subjects wanted to get admission in Medical college to be a Doctor But according to merit only admission was possible in this Ayurvedic Medical College.Admissiin was made without any hustle or tension.Five year degree course with imparting the degree of GAMS.

Faculty

500 lectures per year in each subject by Experts in various faculties of Ayurveda and Allopathy in the subjects of Ayurveda.as Sharir Rachna (Anatomy) Sharir kriya vigyan (Physiology) Ras Shastra and Dravyagun Vigyan(Jurisprudence and Toxicology)i.e Forensic Medicine along with Nidan (Pathology) and medicine and surgery.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives
