Remarks

The points on which I paid attention before choosing this college - 1. Faculty - The faculty of IMT Nagpur is at par with any of the IIMs. They got a NIRF ranking of 97%. 2. Infrastructure - The infrastructure of a place is important as it is a very important component to generate ideas, playfulness, etc. IMT Nagpur has playgrounds and courts for most of the sports. They have a canteen, mess, hostel for students, and on-campus residence for faculties, LRC - The resource center is one of the biggest in India. LRC is highly equipped with all the required material for any management student. 3. Legacy - IMT Nagpur, in only a decade, has been able to make space among the top B-Schools in India. An IMT-DNA of quality and continuous innovation, world-class infrastructure and campus, and a great blend of academicians and practitioners-turned-academicians make the institute unique. My decision of choosing IMT Nagpur so far has been justified and satisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum and faculty are at par with any of the IIMs apart from IIM - ABC. The faculty is one of the USPs of our Institution. Most of them hold doctorate with vast Industrial and academics experience. We have books from the best publishers from the Management domain. The curriculum is vast enough to give us knowledge about every subject related to our specialization. Insitute's LRC is one of the biggest among all the educational institutions of the country. We had all the exams, classes on time. Not even a single class was canceled without any prior notice. All our trimesters were well scheduled. We used to get our weekly timetables before the weekend. We can plan our entire week accordingly. The examinations were well scrutinized and conducted even on the online platforms. The support team remained active and helpful throughout. We didn't face any difficulties as such. There are procedures to appear for re-examination and re-checking of paper without any cost.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many companies visit campus for internships from start-ups, new ventures to big brands. They offer different profiles in the HR, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Operations domain. Profiles are - Marketing research, Finance intern, Human resource intern, sales and marketing, digital marketing, product strategy intern, branding intern, and many more. Many internships come with a performance-based stipend and the average stipend is 10,000. Companies - Crisil, Fyndhere, PayU, Urban Company, Dainik Bhaskar Group, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are average. From the 5th trimester students are eligible to sit in the placement rounds. Companies such as Nielsen, Bain and Co., Crisil, KPMG, TCS, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Netcore come on campus for recruitment. Highest Package - 16 LPA, Average Package - 7.8 LPA. In the last 2 years, 90 percent of students are getting placed. I am more inclined towards FMCG and consultancy industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is 12,10,000 for the two years residential PGDM Programme. Due to the pandemic and AICTE guidelines, the college has not increased the fees for the last 2 years. We were given a minimal financial allowance for the months in which college remain closed. There is a scholarship for the students who score above 90 percentile in CAT and XAT that range between 60-70 percent of the fees. The other scholarship is Shri Mahendra Nath Memorial Scholarships which is given to toppers of each subject from 1 year in their final year. The other monetary benefit is given to the students coming from the EWS quota. The summer internships have an average stipend of 10,000 to15,000. From start-ups, new ventures to renowned brands, all types of companies come on campus offering various profiles to students from HR, Finance, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Sales, Operations, research, analytics, and many more. Student managers get an opportunity for research projects with faculty as well.

Campus Life

5

The campus infrastructure is highly equipped and available with all the facilities. It is been spread on 27 acres known as 'Lush-Green Cmapus', away from the city and at par with any of the new or baby IIMs. As they say, IMT never sleeps and that is as true as the fact that the 'Sun is of yellow color'. There are various inter and intra college fest. There are more than 60 clubs, committees, forums, ventures on campus that are thoroughly managed and run by students. The annual fests are M34 held in August and M35 held in December. The Learning Resouces Centre and all the classrooms of the college are highly equipped with all the modern technology, systems, and reading material. The college has playgrounds and courts for all the major sports, gym, canteen, mess, faculty mess, faculty quarters, etc. The campus is away from the city but we have all the major and minor facilities available inside the campus. The mess provides us with the best food and best variety, gala dinners on the festival

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The rooms are with single and double occupancies. IMT-N has set up ultra-modern hostel facilities along with other facilities, both for men and women. The academic programmes are fully residential and the college takes care of the accommodation needs of the incumbent students. The hostel facilitates and imbibes a culture of sharing, caring, and learning. The college has a large mess hall with a capacity of 1000 members to dine at the same time enables all the students and staff to have lunch and breakfast. A large, modern kitchen with steam cooking is attached to the mess hall. A bakery and ice-cream-making unit is attached to the mess. There is a separate floor one each for vegetarian and non-vegetarian in the mess block to dine. The mess premise is fabricated with excellent furniture and RO facility. The mess food is filled with nutrition and variety. We used to have food from almost every region of the country and special dinners at festivals. The menu gets changed every week.

Admission

Entrance, GDPI

Interview Experience

4.5

There were two faculty members in each panel and there were 6-7 panels. I gave the interview in the very last phase and the medium for my interview was online. So, I had PI only with the esteemed professors of the Institue, one of them was from Marketing and another one from Business Law (that I got to know after joining the college). My PI lasted for 25 minutes and they asked me all the questions related to my CV, hobby, interest areas, work experience, academics, future plans, why MBA. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview as it was a wholesome experience mixed with nervousness, meticulousness and communication. They made me comfortable and the coordinator from the college was very supportive and approachable. I prepared for the interview through some interview videos available on YouTube. I used to record my voice while answering the question while preparing for PIs. As I am a camera conscious person, so I later started to practice and record on a laptop and rectified all my mistakes.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
