Remarks
Faculty are extremely good and qualified barring one or two. The admission process was seamless was called to St. Xaviers Mumbai for the admission process which was started with a brief explanation of college and then proceeded with GD and then PI. I preferred IMTN over many others as I was getting MBA(IT) as a specialization here, which had the better subject selection and more flexibility.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties are very much qualified and teach through very interactive processes and pedagogy. Most of the faculty are Phd. Overall every faculty is very helpful, always just a call away. Depending on the course ample amount of case studies were also introduced by the course faculty. Exams were help keeping in mind the late start of curriculum due to pandemic For all terms exams were held in online mode and was in accordance with the course curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies came for SIP, as this is a mandatory area under the course curriculum students have to go for it compulsory under a corporate. The time period is of 2-3 months depending on the company. Various roles have been offered from research analyst to sales also stipend depends on the company anywhere from 0-25k, majorly on the lower side.
Placement Experience
When students get to the second year they are eligible for final placements. If a student has less than 5.5 CGPA then he/she is not eligible for final placements. Many companies visited for the final placement of the 19-21 batch though it was not that great because of the pandemic, the whole list can be found on the college's page.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was originally 14alkhs but was later curbed to 12.1lakhs as directed by AICTE due to pandemics. The student also gets a scholarship based on CAT merit marks which enable to pay only 35% of the fees. Also, ample opportunities are available if the student performs well and is disciplined enough.
Campus Life
There are several events are being conducted around the year. These various events are organized by different student committees, forums, and clubs that are in the college, which is definitely in excess. Because of the night culture and many clubs/ committees as students get involved and tend to forget that their primary motive is academics and secondary is co-curricular activities. As most of the time, we were attending lectures from home except for one month in which campus was reopened and many students chose to go to campus. Almost the whole campus is been run by different student bodies.
Hostel Facilities
As it is a compulsory residential program we have to stay on campus. Due to the pandemic I never visited campus but the peers that visited were positive about the quality of food served during the one-month period. Also, the menu is also being decided by the mess committee that is again being run by students. As the campus is around 35KM from the main Nagpur city so nearby PG is available and also it's a compulsory 2yrs residential program.
Interview Experience
During my interview process, we had a team activity instead of GD, in which we were made a group of 5-6 students and then asked to select a leader and then present it to the panel of two professors. The marks for the entrance exam accounted for about 35% of the overall weightage for selection. I joined IMS coaching for the overall preparation.
