Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology is one of the best government college in Bihar. It has been ranked 1st position from BCECE in top government engineering colleges of bihar. It has a very good infrastructure and lab facilities comparing to other colleges of Bihar.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branches of Engineering. I love machines since childhood. I wanted to explore everything how it works. That's why I have chosen mechanical engineering. Lab facilities here at MIT Muzaffarpur is just awesome and faculty members are too supportive irrespective of the branch. For Every 20 students, there is one faculty available also known as a mentor. For every semester (6 months) there are two exams internal and external. Internal exams are always difficult comparing to external.

Mainly internship is offered by many companies like HCL, TCS and railways. Students are prepared for internship. They got the opportunity through Internshala, LinkedIn and many more. Many students got a good internship offer in previous batch stipend was around 15000 per month

Here students got placement from 3rd yr onwards. The highest package was 24 lakh offered to an IT student. The average package is around 5 lakh. Good numbers of students get placement from the IT and ECE branch. Numbers are improving day by day. From mechanical placements are less but a lot of students prepare for gate and other government jobs.

Fees comparing to other engineering colleges is nothing here. You have to pay just a small sum of 2500 and 10 rs per month as your monthly fee. If you opt for a hostel you have to pay a 33000 per year mess fee included. That's it. Overall for four years, of course, you have to pay a maximum of 1,50,000. On the other side, you will get a huge amount of scholarship from nsp .you can also apply for students credit card

One of the best part of MIT Muzaffarpur is their club. No other government colleges of Bihar have the luxury of the club that Muzaffarpur has. For Arts and Culture Junoon club is there. It organises every kind of fest related to art and culture. The annual fest is known as FIESTA. organised in the month of March. For tech fest, it has Moxie the technical club of mit . Its annual tech fest is TECHMITI organised in April For sports, it has udgam which is also organised in April.

Room facilities are awesome here. There are total 7 number of boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. Rooms are always kept clean. Sweeper daily comes to room for sweeping. Meal quality is pretty good it is not upto par but it is good. Menu is awesome.

Admission is taken on the basis of jee mains . BCECE board prepare a merit list of those students who fill a registration form from BCECE site based on their jee rank . After that you will be call for counseling and other formalities in college
