Remarks
Loyola College is famous for its extracurricular activities with a quality education system. It offers certificate courses, sports, NCC, participation for other events, the celebration for national festivals etc. one thing I don't like in Loyola is the Administration process the process is very slow like online payment confirmation issues, certificate Issues. In the Admission process first, we have to fill our details in the form once we decide or choose what course are we gonna take after referring to the college website (you will have a brief intro to the college and the courses they offer for graduation in that website) The admission begins from May. once we fill the form we have an entrance test and interview followed by college management. The reason for picking Loyola for my graduation is I really loved the nature, Atmosphere, infrastructure of my college on the first day itself when I came up for my entrance test. I didn't use any website nor blog during my college selection.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mass communication is a mixture of journalism & media. In the name, of course, itself I'm passionate about doing it. Actually, it's a rare course not many knew about this course so, which excited me even more to choose this particular course. Coming to the faculty of my course they really friendly and caretakers it's like a family. They clear all our doubts without any hesitation they receive our messages and calls at any time and replies back. The headcount of my class is 60. Basically, the faculty qualification is M.A, MSC, Diploma in multimedia and video production, NET etc. The method of teaching was so comprehensive they refer the all the topics which most important for the semester exam they show us some really good subject related movies, documentaries, videos etc to make us understand the concept which helped us to track the exam confidently without any fear. The exams were not so really complicated to pass, the duration of time depends upon the syllabus of the exam.
Internships Opportunities
My college offered off campus internships. The internships opportunities available in my college are Internshala, TCS, IT companies ( bps) visual designs internships ( open play company), SAI SILKS PVT LTD company etc.
Placement Experience
The placements of my college are like if they get any information or updates of the company they forwards to the All the whats app classes groups and in notice boards. They advise the students to follow the standard resume templates. Students must carry one folder with them containing a hardboard, Attested Mark sheets, certificates, passport size photos, resume copies and also students are advised to go through the company websites for more insight about the company. Final year students are eligible for only one job. well! In my department we have very few placement options hardly one or two get placements that too not sure(25%). My plans after completing this course are to pursue my masters and work for any company as a part-time job during pursuing my masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
My course amount is 78,000 for one year it divides into two instalments for one year like vice we have six semesters for three years, of course, every one year the cost is 78,000 divides into two instalments. There is no sudden fees hike in any one of the year it might increase for the next batch depends on management. I didn't apply for any scholarship either for Financial Assistance. I didn't get to register for any of the jobs on Campus nor stipend. But college provides opportunities for placements.
Campus Life
Basically, the Annual fest(LENZCAPE) It about photography celebration during on September month where our department people display all the photographs which are got clicked by the students for the competition level. The tech fest(InFocus) celebrates in February month. The InFocus is about making documentaries and short films the best short films and documentaries are screened during the event. All the media, movies, reporting, journalism-related books or available in the library. Life at the campus is so peaceful and some times challenging meeting different people from all over India is a different experience in bonding relationship with people( social life) we have many clubs in our college like a magic youth club, drawing and painting, Gk club, Entrepreneurs club, dance& dramatics etc. I was in magic youth club it is a social welfare service club which I liked it most. Many people actively participate in cultural activities, sports, events. I love the infrastructure of my college
Interview Experience
We don't have any group discussions during the admission process we have only interview and entrance test. Basically, the interview questions based on my chosen course and the test based on current affairs. Once we fill the Admission form we have to write the entrance test if we pass the test we can attend for the interview once we got select for the interview then we can eligible for studying the course at Loyola. For this, entrance test I referred to the All recent current affairs and general knowledge questions, quiz which helped me to tackle the exam. Coming to the interview I just Google about my course and got an idea about my course this is the way how I prepared for my rounds. They are more particular about my communication skills, confidence and knowledge on the subject during my interview.
