Remarks

To be frank, I didn't select this college. Agaram foundation gave me admission to this college only based on my cut off. Seriously I recommend you to join this college. Because the faculties and other TAP cell members put almost their maximum efforts to groom themselves. I can able to see the difference between colleges in my hometown and my college. The faculty members help us in all aspects of what we need. The only thing we want to do is, just cope up with them and developing our skills in the area of our interests. They also helped us in that by conducting many webinars with industrial experts and seniors of our college to understand the things what exactly the industry expect from us. Also, they have a good record in academics. As it became autonomous from this academic year, they decided to concentrate more on our skills rather than academics. Also, it is the first year of being autonomous, we are expecting more from our college in the coming years.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason for me to choose this course is the scope behind the course. The student and faculty relationship is really good. Most of them are really friendly and clarified our doubts without annoying us. The faculty members really do their best to make their students the best in that subject. Maybe some are not able to do the same. Most of the staff members completed their PG in their respective fields and many are pursuing their PG. Our college conducted exams every month. It was partially easy to pass depends on the subject.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I didn't exactly know about the company names and offers for internships. I just came to know from seniors that some are doing internships with the companies they are getting placed in and getting their stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

I think from the 6th semester, students can appear for campus interviews. Nearly 60 and more companies came for recruitment and they will offer accordingly. I think the highest package will be 12 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. It is nearly 90% and more students getting placed. I also want to get placed in a good company at least with a 6 LPA package.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not that much aware of fee hike policies and things as I'm studying under a 100% scholarship. I just wrote what I know. As our college getting autonomous this year, most of my friends told me that they increased the fee much. Previous year the fee was nearly 100,000 but this year it is nearly 1,78,000. We can get admitted to this college with 100% scholarship by foundations like Agaram, Matram, Anandham, etc. They provide fee concessions for first graduates and economically backward students. I'm now in my second year so I'm not getting placed. But my college has a good placement record also. They have nearly 90% of placements and try to make it 100%.

Campus Life

4

In my college, cultural will be conducted in the mid of February. Also, women's will be celebrated for girls and it will be really awesome. We can thoroughly enjoy the whole day. The library is really good in structure and count of books and types of books. All kind of journals will be there and we can study without doing any damage to it. They mostly don't concentrate on sports. They will give some training only before some days to sports day. But those who are really interested in sports and related things can get permission from respective faculty or HOD for attending that. There are more clubs functioning on our campus and some are handled by student seniors also. And most of the clubs have their own Instagram and Facebook pages.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

For each student, they provide a cot, table, chair and a rack(shelf). Power connection, fan and a mosquito net will be there for covering the windows. I will give 9 ratings for food and its quality. And a weekly menu will be maintained. The registration process will be held similarly to the admission process and initially room will be allocated by the wardens only. After that, we can change our rooms. Tambaram is the nearest place for outer hostels. But I prefer in campus hostel in case of safety and food but the only drawback is girl students are permitted to go out only with local guardians(max 3). We can't go outside without them. These are not for boys. For boys, all boy hostellers can go out at weekends within a time schedule (no need of a guardian).

Admission

I have entered this college through the Agaram foundation based on my cut off.

Interview Experience

4.5

I didn't have any group discussion like things as I'm entered through Agaram foundation as I mentioned earlier. But other students may attend those meetings or group discussions for admission. I'm not so sure about it.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
