You can get in either through the SRMJEEE entrance exam or through direct admission based on your 12th marks. I applied for PIET and geeta university also other than SRM, in PIET I was having difficulty for daily transportation and also they don't allow bunks or getting out of college before college time, also there scholarship scheme was not that much good, where as in geeta university it was still under development of there labs and other facilities and also the campus was not that large, it also carried the problem of transportation, as my older brother is also a passout from SRM University, it was easy for me to get transportation facilities from my door, and also I cleared scholarship exam that gave me 50% scholarship and now our university is the only university with NAAC A+ credit. Also the admission department was nice than PIET. I applied in a number of colleges like maharaja agrasain institute of technology, Chandigarh university, vellore institute of technology. But i chose srm because it was closest to my house and in mait j did not get cse and i inly wanted to purse cse which led me to opt for srm. The eligibility criteria is minimum 50% number in pcm in class 12th and exams accepted are cuet jee srmee and srmchat. Exam most preferred by students was cuet as it gave scholarships to students the cutoff was around 85 percentile for scholarships and the admission experience overall was good and the staff was also very helpful and the administration department was also good and gave a overview of the entire university.
