Chandresh Khandelwal's Review On Maharishi Arvind Institute Of Engineering & Technology - [MAIET], Jaipur

Appeared in RPET, got 2008 rank and opted for mechanical in this college as it was at that time said to be under top 3 colleges for mechanical and it was situated inside the city range as compared to other colleges which were on the outskirts of the Jaipur city.

Course curriculum is not college specific and is rather defined by the University. But the classroom teaching of all the subjects was decent. Not best in class teachers but yet decent enough to make you know how of the subject. Do not much remember about the electives but as far as memory goes they were all chosen as per the convenience of getting good marks easily.

College did made it compulsory to do internship in any company and then submit a project report but as far as i remember it did not provide any internship.

Almost 40% out of the totally clear students (without any backs in any of the subjects) were placed during the campus itself. Accenture, Mahindra tech, Infosys, National Bearing Company, Bosch, Adani Power Limited, Jindal and many more. Minimum package during 2008 was around Rs. 1.5 Lacs per annum.

Freshers - this is the first event that you will be enjoying at the beginning of the session. Its a rocking kind of event. Next comes the Dandiya program - it is organised by the college students by their own. After that comes the sports week - Cricket, volleyball, table tennis, chess, carom, badminton and a few more.

Its at par with the other colleges of its league. But still is a bit loaded for a middle class family. Students from middle class families need to take education loan. During our batch in 2008, fees was 41000. Average middle class income at that time was Rs. 300000 for a family. Fee structure is one time payment at the beginning of the 1st semester of the year.

Gender ratio is around 30:70 (F:M). Extra-curriculars are there such as singing and dancing competitions, few art n photography related programs also arranged. Freshers, farewell and annual function is once a year organised and students participation is good. Once a year sports week is celebrated.

Exams structure is common in almost 90% of the colleges. Two semesters each year to end with a exam with 6 papers every semester. Every semester has two internal exams and one practical session. Not to much hectic. The internals are taken within the college campus in presence of the college teachers, while the final semester exam centres are other colleges.
