Satisfied with my experience here at DCRUST till date, because of the Campus life & Infrastructure

I choose CE because I had personal interest in this very field since childhood. As, of now I can only say that everything here is fine and if you are ready to give some efforts from your side then you may find it a very interesting place to live in with a large number of people from different cultures and backgrounds. There are very many cultural societies here in the university where you can head to explore your hobbies, meet new people & develop your personality. These societies include Dance Groups, Event Management Societies, Literacy Groups & Singing Groups. Every year the annual university fest is held in the university which is named as RYTHM. The campus is just KM's away from the capital of our country Delhi , the local railway station is just to KM's away and you may find the bust stand on your way to railway station. Very many types of Scholarships are offered every year and this totally depends on your category and your Annual Income & the rank secured in entrance exam.

There is no doubt when it comes to the faculty, as almost 90% - 95% professors you'll find here hold PHd Degree's in their respective fields and will be there to help you out whenever you need them. If we talk about the quality of teaching then it may be hard for some of the students to adjust themselves as every child is from a different place or state where a different language is spoken. Every student here is provided with an internship while in second year, so that the students get an experience of how to survive and make their mark in the industry. The course curriculum which is followed here is as per which is recommended by the All India Council of Technical Education.

Students when in 7th Semester are eligible to get themselves place in the MNC's that offer campus placements. The companies that visit the campus include TCS, Fidelity International, Samsung, Larsen & Turbo and Hero Motor Corporation and some other MNC's. In the year 2018 a student was offered a package of 28 LPA by Amazon. While, among the other packages that are offered to the students by TCS and all other firms, the highest package ranges between 7LPA to 10LPA. When it comes to the percentage of students getting placed then I'll have to mention that almost the entire batch of CSE and ECE, get placed but most of the students are offered packages of 3LPA, as TCS is a mass recruiter and took away almost 250+ students in the year 2017. For other branches the placements are not so good but yes if a students is handy with some computer programming languages such as C, C++ then they too can get themselves placed in TCS. And, yes I plan to pursue masters after competing my bachelor's.

As the university is a state government run university the tuition fee of the university is not too high as compared to the private colleges out there. And to be honest there is no regular hike in the fee, we ca say that the fee is hiked once in a decade or once in 5 years. When it comes to placements I must say that most of the students from CSE,ECE get placed in TCS which is one of the mass recruiter of the university. Also some other MNC's like fidelity visit the campus, So, you do have a chance of getting placed in any of the above listed MNC's if you are from these core branches, and rest all it's on your luck. Sometimes Hero Motor Corporation limited recruits students from Mechanical Engineering and for Civil Engineering you can get a chance to see Laser and Turbo which is a rare sight but yes if you are luck then it is possible. Getting a scholarship totally depends entirely on your academics and family background and yes there are various types of fee concessions as well.

The library here is as good as you may find in some of the top universities, you may find the lab equipment and materials for your practicals, lab In-charges will always be behind your back. Talking about the infrastructure, most of the buildings were recently renovated and the campus is spread over an area of 273 Acres. Coming to the hostels there are hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls which provide a large space for the accommodation of almost 2500 - 3000 students. The mess here in the university is a co-operative mess in which there is a committee of students who decide the menu along with the mess workers, The food is generally good but yes it won't be able to beat the quality of food that you get at your homes. And you may get used to it in a couple of days. A common room for students to watch television and a common laundry to wash clothes is available in each hostel. There are various sports in which you can engage yourselves. Also a swimming pool is under construction

The hostel facility is quite awesome as there are different hostels for boys and girls, 4 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls and they may provide accommodation space fro up to 2500 to 3000 students. The mess in each and every hostel is a co-operative mess where in a committee of students and some of the mess workers negotiate and decide the menu of the mess. A common laundry and a common room is there in every hostel where students can wash their clothes and also enjoy watching TV, when it comes to the washrooms then I should mention then unlike some of the top notch private institutions you won't find them attached to your rooms as there are common washrooms. And trust me your hostel life will be amazing and you'll remember it throughout your life. As just after 15 minutes walk you'll reach out the Dhaba's ( Famous Eateries ) of Murthal and get a chance to chill out with your friends.
