Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru lies in the outskirts of Bengaluru in Electronics City. The institute provides a top-notch faculty with a blend of both permanent faculty and visiting faculties that share their corporate experiences with the incumbent batch. The first thing that attracted to me this college was that this is a totally student-driven college. It gives you ample opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. The regular events give a great simulation of the corporate world and prepare you for the same. Besides these, they have many events which are totally conducted by the students giving them many opportunities to gain essential life skills. The institute has a mandatory summer internship program that all students have to go through after their first year which gives them exposure to corporate even before they start their corporate life.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was inclined to business management and wanted that as my career path. The faculty to student ratio in the college is pretty good, such that attention can be paid to all the students and brief discussions can take place within the class. The teaching method is very good and they share their corporate experiences we have mid sems and final exams for every semester besides projects and assignments
Internships Opportunities
Summer Internships is a mandatory program for students to be done after the first year of your course. There are companies like Deloitte, JP Morgen, Crisil, ITC, MTR coming to the college offering internships to students for various roles. The highest stipend offered was 1.5 lakhs
Placement Experience
One becomes eligible for placements in the third semester. Many students get PPOs from the companies they joined for their internships. There are over 100 companies that come for final placements for all specializations. The highest package offered for the 2021 batch was 34 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are subject to change as per the university guidelines. There are various scholarships available for the students at both the university and the institute level. The institute has tie ups with many banks which can help you with financing the course. The fees are taken per semester basis. There are a lot many live projects that come to campus with stipends that students can enrol to.
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty good. They have provisions for almost everything to keep you entertaining while having a focus on your studies. They have a gym, badminton court, amphitheatre and a basketball court for leisure activities
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are clean. They provide both double and triple occupancy reviews. Mess food has a lot of variety and almost every day a different meal is prepared. It's hygienic and well organized. The rooms are regularly cleaned with the help of the hostel. They provide good quality mattress and bed which makes you comfortable to live in.
Interview Experience
My GD topic for the admission process was 'whether the attendance should be mandatory for students or not'. The process of admission was very smooth, they follow a six sigma process where everything is so well coordinated and it was totally hassled free. My interview was based on my prior education and some analytical questions
