CAT, 80 percentile and chose it because I found it pretty nice. Good brand name, positive reviews about course and teachers, and amazing campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is at par with IIMs. In fact, a lot of case studies and assignments used to be similar to what given to IIM students. there were students exchange programs between India and some foreign countries, so all in all, the course structure was quite encompassing and had a global outlook.
Internships Opportunities
Things have changed in last six years. during my time we were undergoing recession and the industry was in a really bad shape. Thanks to a highly dedicated placement committee, most of us got internships and subsequent placements. I guess the stipends at that time were not any great.. .perhaps from 10k-20k per month.
Placement Experience
As i read about them now, they are pretty promising. Quite a few big brands are their regular recruiters for some years now and the batch sizes have also been expanded considerably. I am hoping things have improved even further compared to what they were six years back. Some of my ex-classmates are big shots now, working at wonderful positions.. all in all I feel very positive and promising about my batch and alma mater.
Exam Structure
It was a mixture of quite a few things - random and frequent class assessments, presentations, written exams, vivas, etc. I don't think for a management education course, a fixed exam structure could be brought to a place.
Faculty
Very nice. Some of the teachers had come from prestigious corporate profiles. I am still following quite a few of them as they are progressing in their career and academia and can safely say we got taught by really intelligent people who knew their stuff.
