Goa Institute of Management is one of the premier management institutes in the country. Admission begins in the month of January and February each year through CAT XAT CMAT and GMAT. Impeccable placement and service record to its name.

Course Curriculum Overview

GIM as a healthy student ratio of 45 is to 1. The majority of the professors are from IIM and IIT and are highly qualified. College follows a bi-semester system for examination. The teaching pedagogy is excellent and very practical.

Course Fees: INR 17 per year

Internships Opportunities

The institute does provide ample internship opportunities from various reputable recruiters like Relaxo, Accenture, Dell etc. The role offered by companies includes business development, sales interns, HR roles, etc. Apart from this, there are also various life project opportunities made available to the students.

Placement Experience

GIM Goa offers one of the best placement opportunities in the region. Reputed organisations like BMW, Bacardi Siemens visit for placements. The average package of the college is around 11.8 lacs per annum for the recent session. 90 to 95% of the students gets placed through campus placements and remaining off for businesses and entrepreneurship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for this year is approximately 17 lacs which excludes hostel. Apart from this, students have to opt for the mandatory hostel. the institute does offer help to economically weaker section students in the form of scholarships and grants.

Campus Life

The college has various amenities and facilities such as a well equipped digital library, computer labs, data labs, etc. Apart from that institute also have various sports and swimming facilities. A lot of students clubs have been established by the student communities and various competitions and events are organised by them. The college organises an annual cultural and business management fest and invites participants from all over the country.

Hostel Facilities

The college has multiple hostel options within its campus starting from non AC sharing rooms to air conditioned single bedrooms. The hostel mess meals are also so quite good. Student can opt for a hostel through college administration. Students have to mandatorily opt for a hostel.

Interview Experience

The admission process begins after shortlisting from entrance exam scores. this is further followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. I recommend students to be regular with newspapers and business news

GIM: The college that never sleeps.

Placement Experience:

In the first year, students are eligible for summer internship placements from the first term onwards. Decent number of companies visit the campus and offer roles across various domains. The placement committee provides good placement support.

Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Great platform to transform yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

College way to enter in professional world.

Remarks:

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.

Entrance Preview:

XAT - 99 percentile. This was the best one that got converted for me in the first attempt. Was wait listed in the other. Given its a tier 1 college with good curriculum & great placement, so it was a no brainer hence went ahead

I had given the CAT examination and scored 95.36 percentile. There is no sectional cutoff for this college. 80 is the cutoff for cat. Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Steps of admission process were as follows: 1. Minimum 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree 2. Clear cutoff of CAT(approx 85%ile)/XAT(approx 80%ile)/GMAT/CMAT respectively (any one is enough) *They also have an Achiever's Round 3. Shortlisting based on overall academic background 4. Written Ability Test (WAT) - Basic opinion on some random topic is asked, fully proctored 5. Online Interview - Checks basic intellect, general awareness, concept clarity 6. Admission Letter ALL THE NECESSARY DETAILS RELATED TO THE ADMISSION PROCESS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF GIM In my opinion, the selection process is rigourous enough, I was asked only relevant questions and tasks to do throughout. The admission process was smooth. The application fees and all other details were available on the official site of the college. The college doesn't provide any reservation benefits.
