Internships At NIFT

Nift is the best and topmost college in India. Nift Shillong ranks 3th last on the top nift campuses. The teaching staff is amazing with the best-qualified faculties. The environment is very inspiring and beautiful but it is away from the main city so it is isolated. You can apply for nift Delhi placements from Shillong as well hence it is the best college. Right now it is online thus the quality has decreased and in this, they have increased the fee which looks worthless but I am hoping that the college will open soon and everything will be normal.

The curriculum is easy, there is no written exam or exam as such only submission and tons of them. The teaching method is very good I never get bored but there is a lot of pressure on submissions. It is very difficult to score a 9 pointer and a topper also gets an 8 so it is pretty difficult to pass. Teachers are less on the online mode but soon there are new teachers joining in. The accessory is the best in Shillong and is known for it even more than fashion design, the teacher especially Thing ma'am amazing teacher and very helpful.

Internships start from the 2nd year and many of them are too big companies and a student ends up getting placed to that very company. Many students apply for foreign companies from nift and get their internships at big fashion weeks.

Best placements in the fashion industry are there in NIFT. All most 90% of students get placed from campus, over 300 companies come for placements. The lowest package is 5 lakhs and average id 6-7 lakhs and highest has more than 20 lakhs.

Fees of NIFT are too much and being in an online mood is worthless because you are gaining much but there are a lot of scholarships in NIFT both merit and income-based. I have heard that you can even get a Mac book if you get a scholarship. Placements of NIFT are more than 300 because you can sit for placements from Delhi too. Best designers are graduated from NIFT including Sabhya Sachi Mukharjee NIFT Kolkata. The fee is a disadvantage of NIFT but if you look for private college NIFT fees are very less.

NIFT has the best clubs and extra curriculum activities. Spectrum is the most famous of all. It happens every year at the end of February but due to covid, it has not this year. There many clubs at nift, cultural, literature, sports, environment, social service, etc.

NIFT entrance exam is a tough one to crack. There are two rounds, CAT/GAT, and a situation test. Cat means creative ability test and geranial ability. CAT has 3 drawing questions and GAT has English math general knowledge and quantitative questions. A situation test is making a 3d model with a description.
