Remarks
I reviewed many colleges before filling the choice in counseling but because of its available faculty I choose this college and it is near the main NIT Srinagar so I believe that I get motivation for my next step towards higher education if I get near an educational place and this college is also in Srinagar city, in the hills getting a college near the city is too difficult. I've availed for the TFW quota there are only two seats in each branch for TFW students and luckily I got one after filling in counseling. Admission criteria fully depend on the marks or rank you got on the basis of the exam known as JEEP(Joint Entrance Examination Of Polytechnic) and after the result counseling portal will open and you have to choose which course you wanted to apply to and where from the list of colleges and after getting your choice, of course, you have to go to your college on the given date and submit your documents which are required for admission process. All the dates are informed by UBTER.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the I.T course because I am interested in knowing about technology and computers so I think this is the best suitable course for me. Seats for the I.T course is 40 but only 20-25 students take this course in my 2019 batch and the faculty is enough and good for us because there is no rush in our classroom all of us have our desk of pc where we learn but in 1st year you can face some rush in the classroom because in 1st-year students of 4 courses sit together so a total of 200 approx students sit in a room. By the way, the room is big enough but only one teacher is teaching 200 students at one time so it is a little difficult for the students to understand. All the faculty are well educated and their teaching method is also good and their nature is also helpful. Exams are taken on a semester basis so every six months, there are exams and exams that are moderate not too hard or easy but for those who didn't study, exams are hard. All the faculty and facility are good on our campus.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is low because the campus is situated in hills so many companies arrived at Dehradun from there, they call students for the interview and select them as their need. But after completing the diploma courses many students go for a b.tech course because we have an option to give the LEET exam and get direct entry in 2 years in b.tech so many of us try it. After I get passed from my college I will tell about placement in detail.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is simple you have to pay fees semester-wise. In each branch, there are confirmed 2 TFW seats for SC students or EWS students. Fees for the regular students are 6000 - 8000 approx per semester and for the TFW students 2500-4000 approx per semester. In the covid-19 pandemic period fees for the TFW students is 0 they just have to show the previous fees receipt to get their admission confirmed in the 3rd semester. The scholarship is also available for SC, OBC students, or EWS students. To apply for a scholarship you simply have to register on the NSP portal of the Indian government scholarships and after registering on the NSP portal you have to submit some documents to verify that you are a student of this college. The scholarship amount is approx 10000 for day scholar and for hosteler maybe it increases or same. I am still studying so I can't say anything about my job.
Campus Life
I have not seen any annual fest or tech fest on my campus, I don't think that there is an annual fest or tech fest conducted in our college. In our library, there are so many books for students to learn from them and most all books and journals are available in our campus library, the library of our campus I say is too big and good for students. There is an auditorium in which there are some indoor sports things and there is a court for badminton, volleyball, football on the backside of campus and we also have NIT ground which we use for cricket or running. There are also some curricular activities that happened on our campus like sports at the starting of the year with other colleges. There are no other websites or clubs run by students on our campus.
