Remarks

I attend to choose the college because I was passionate to do medical but I was afraid of doing the dissection and all in the mbbs course so I opted for bds. The college is quite good at it provide excellent teaching faculties who impart good clinical knowledge that is very necessary for our field also college has a large lecture hall and well maintained library and good housing facilities. The attached hospital has a good patient flow which makes clinical learning easy. Also one of my senior was studying in this college and he assisted me in joining this college all this motivated me to join the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty members of the buddha institute of dental sciences and hospital are well experienced and highly intellectual and they have a very deep and profound knowledge which is reflected in their teaching style. The faculties here at bids use PowerPoint which includes pictures to make our learning easier. The student faculties ratio is 15:1 which is quite good for a dental college. The college conducts one professional exam and two semesters in one academic year.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes in our college provide some opportunity for a rotatory internship. Different department of the college help student to learn clinical knowledge of each department and how to implement them. The college also gives a stipend of 7500. One can also do an internship at other dental colleges. The difference is that they do not get a stipend so it is better to do an internship from your own college If the patient inflow is good.

Placement Experience

4

There are nothing so called placements in dental courses unlike in engineering courses. The student who qualifies from my college gets a government or a private job across the reputed dental college in India. The salary is around 50000 per month depending on the college they join even my college provides a salary of 60000 to undergraduate pass out. The salary increases on basis of experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee of the college is 500000 per annum which need to be deposited in the college before the start of each academic session. The hostel fee per annum is 100000 for a double bedded room. This hostel fee also includes mess charges. The fee has not increased since these 5 years. The college does not provide any scholarship to any students. This is the only drawback I see in this college.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life at the buddha institute of dental sciences is quite awesome. The college celebrates every festival like Holi, Diwali and Saraswati puja on the campus. The student of each academic year participates in this. The college also conducts one annual fest in December beside this the college also conducts casual activities and sports activities on campus. All these provide relaxation from the hectic schedule. The college campus is full of greenery and just outside the hostel campus is a temple The classroom is quite good as they can accommodate 150 students at a time. each classroom has a projector and air conditioners. The library here is beneficial and provide all essential books and articles for dental course one can also find the post-graduate book here.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is quite good but the hostel facilities are only for the girls and the boys have to live in PG. The hostel room is double bedded or triple bedded with no attached bathroom. The hostel room has also a reading table and studying chair and a wardrobe to keep your essentials inside. One can apply for the hostel at the time of admission as she or he has only to fill their hostel living form.

Placement Experience:

As you all know, there isn't any placement in medical and dental colleges. You can always open your clinic or join a hospital. For opening your clinic, you need to have a good practice. In that regard, MMDCH is very good. Its OPD is huge. By the time you graduate you would have done a lot of cases. And this will be very helpful for your practice. If you don't want to open a clinic, you can also prepare for PG. You can be an MDS in your preferred department. Dental clinics run very well but you need to have the patience for the first 10-12 months. There are many job opportunities in the gulf regions. You can also go to DDS.

Admission:

The admission is done here on the basis of the NEET examination score, which stands for the National Entrance Eligibility Test. A minimum of 50 percent is required in the 12th grade examination. The process of counseling, selection and other formalities first take place online and then one to one evaluation and consulting is done.

Remarks:

The college is a good one for learning and serving. Faculty is quite good. Labs are well equipped and the library provides you book for various Indian and foreign authors that help you to extend your knowledge. The only demerit of this college is it's infrastructure which is on a bit low scale as compared to the other facilities and opportunities provided by the college.
