Remarks

The college is a good one for learning and serving. Faculty is quite good. Labs are well equipped and the library provides you book for various Indian and foreign authors that help you to extend your knowledge. The only demerit of this college is it's infrastructure which is on a bit low scale as compared to the other facilities and opportunities provided by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( B.D.S.) is a good one with the view of serving the society and the earning is also good. You learn everything about human body and life in general with more emphasis on the face mainly related to teeth. There are internal exams from time to time and yearly University exams. This is a four year course with internship of a year so in total you have to appear for four University exams.

Placement Experience

4

Job opportunities are quite good after you graduate from this college. You have a well experienced hand because of the practicals and this is quite beneficial if you opt for a job or even set up your own clinic.

College Events

4

If you are looking for a fest or dj night you would surely be disappointed. There are holidays for the festivals and celebration is mainly a means of interaction between the college family as a whole. Moreover there are seminars and conferences which provides you a lot of knowledge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive. It is about 5 lakhs per year ( this was for my batch, the fees have been reduced recently) for B.D.S. course and there are separate charges for hostel facility. This fee includes all the turion, exam, and library fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about any loan facility that is provided by the college but I applied for a loan facility from the state government under 7-nischay yojna that is know as student credit card. Under this you are given a total loan amount of 4 lakhs by the government that you clear once you start earning.

Campus Life

2.5

There are daily labs related to your subject that help you to get a better understanding of the subjects you deal with and your practical hands get well finished that benefit you in the long run. Also you get chances for moving to a different city to attend the conferences and participate in the cultural programs and showcase your talent.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors here are very helpful. The college is more like a family with the seniors and juniors interacting in a friendly manner. In the absence of the teaching faculty, the seniors are always there to help you out. There are regular visits of the alumnis and some of them even serve as professors in the same college.

Admission

As per the rules , for getting admission to any of medical or dental college one needs to qualify NEET. After qualifying the same , one needs to apply for the state merit list on the site of UGMAC. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks and there are certain reservations. You are given admission based on your rank as per the merit list.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is really good. Teachers here are well experienced with most of them holding a degree of specialization in their respective field. They are attentive towards the students and their way of learning. Their way of teaching changes according to the demands of the students. There is a great opportunity for everyone to learn.

Placement Experience:

There are nothing so called placements in dental courses unlike in engineering courses. The student who qualifies from my college gets a government or a private job across the reputed dental college in India. The salary is around 50000 per month depending on the college they join even my college provides a salary of 60000 to undergraduate pass out. The salary increases on basis of experience.

Placement Experience:

As you all know, there isn't any placement in medical and dental colleges. You can always open your clinic or join a hospital. For opening your clinic, you need to have a good practice. In that regard, MMDCH is very good. Its OPD is huge. By the time you graduate you would have done a lot of cases. And this will be very helpful for your practice. If you don't want to open a clinic, you can also prepare for PG. You can be an MDS in your preferred department. Dental clinics run very well but you need to have the patience for the first 10-12 months. There are many job opportunities in the gulf regions. You can also go to DDS.

Admission:

The admission is done here on the basis of the NEET examination score, which stands for the National Entrance Eligibility Test. A minimum of 50 percent is required in the 12th grade examination. The process of counseling, selection and other formalities first take place online and then one to one evaluation and consulting is done.
