Entrance Preview

I got a cut off of 185 in the higher secondary examination in order to get into this college. I opted for this college because the facilities were really good here and this was the best college for my cut off marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is set by the Anna University, Chennai. The curriculum is world class. I studied almost all major electives required in the field of computer science like Database Programming, Application Programming concepts, OOPS, Data Structures. In addition to this, the practical courses were also really useful for my work.

Internships Opportunities

No my college does not provide any internship. However students are encouraged to do internships outside the campus. For instance, I did my internship from Microsoft.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are excellent. Almost 90% of the students get placed during their final year of the course. In my batch , companies like HCL, Athena Health care came for campus placements. Around 430/510 students were placed. I was offered a pay of Rs.3.25 Lakhs in HCL Technologies.

College Events

3.5

Every year there will be Technical Fest called Drestein. It is a national level tech fest where around 1000 students participate each year. There will be a number of events in the tech fest including Gaming competitions, Workshops, Robotic workshops, Seminars from industrial people etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. If the students wants to avail more scholarships he should perform well and try to come within the top five ranks in each department. The fees needs to be paid at the start of each course year. June-July. The fees structure is as follows Rs.32,500 for educational cost , Rs.37500 for Placement Training and extra curricular activities. Rs 2.22000 in case if you are availing the college transport.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year the TOP 5 students from each department will be awarded Cash Prizes. Apart from that the college also supports the minority scholarships provided by the government.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good, when compared to the stricter colleges in Chennai. My college is really good in many aspects. The gender ratio is almost 50:50. There were people from many parts of the country opting for my college. Equality is maintained in all grounds such as Race, Religions, Gender etc. There was no student elections or any sort of political groups inside the campus.

Exam Structure

Apart from the semester exams, which happens once in six months, the internal exams were phased out at regular intervals. There was enough time to relax and prepare for each and every exam. Lab sessions were present on a weekly basis, the lab exams occur only 2 to 3 times in the entire semester.

Faculty

3.5

All faculties are well qualified, they possess a minimum of Masters in Engineering degree. Many faculties are also under going doctorate studies. The faculties are very enthusiastic and ready to help the students. They put in extra efforts to help the students in their projects and research.

Placement Experience:

The college provides four tracks for students: the placement track, higher studies track, entrepreneur track and the government exam track. Students can opt for any one track during their third year of study. The campus placements starts from the mid of third year. Mnc's like Accenture, cognizant visited our company the ratio is also good. Lot of startup's and core companies have also hired students.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 5 th semester ,however they are not allowed to join companies before completing the current course. Many companies have visited like(CTS, Accenture, Soti, cart rabbit , course 5i and many more) in my batch out of 800+ students around 200 - 250 got placed . The highest pacakge is 13.5 LPA and the average package is around 4.5 LPA - 6LPA. College say its 100 percent placement but nowadays its not true because about 20-25 percent students are bot placed because of skill issues. My plan is to get placed in a good company and save some decent amount and start trading.

The placement and the package in this current year is less when compared to previous years. This is due to the more admissions in computer science field and more employees are there.the highest package is 12L/yr . 18% of students will get placed. My plan is to start private construction agency.
