Career and College life at MERI

It's a top-ranking B-school in IPU also offering other courses like BAJMC and BTech. The faculty is very knowledgeable and overall provide you with a more practical approach to the program. The clubs organize seminars very often. The campus is a bit small with just one building and a small ground but very clean.

The BBA program of IPU offers so many opportunities and MERI has a good course curriculum with a more practical approach to teaching including case studies and seminars. They have class coordinators from the faculty for every class and every branch has its own department of faculty. Most of the professors in the management department own a doctorate. There are two semesters every year and each semester has two exams, internals and externals.

The proper interview and GD happen before securing an internship and it is mandatory for everyone. The college might help you to get an interview but it's totally up to your skills if you would be selected.

From the 2nd semester, the students start getting trained for the internships and summer training programs with mock group discussions, interviews and CV making and the placements take place in the last year. Every year 100+ recruiters visit the campus. For MBA, the highest package last year was 10 lakhs and for BBA, 5.2 lakhs.

It's a private college affiliated with LPU. They ask you to sign an undertaking before admission for any fee hike in the future which is absurd but that is prevalent in every college of IPU. I paid somewhat around 96,000 in 1st year for BBA in 2019 and we were told during the admission that the fee will be reduced to around 80,000 in the second year but instead, they increased the fee to 1,01,100 in 2020 for every course and even charged extra 10,000 from students who failed to pay the fee on time. MERI has its annual fest 'La Kermesse' usually happens around Feb-March. The other occasions are also celebrated timely with full spirit. The book bank is available for all courses and books can be issued with a library card. One can issue four books at a time. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned with working fans but sometimes the AC's doesn't work. The projectors are available in all the classrooms for presentations. The institute offers a wide range of extracurricular activities like a Fashion show, music, theatre, literature and sports. The campus is a bit small with a small ground so all the sports events and activities happen on another campus owned by MERI.
