Remarks
I choose this university as it's a well reputed Institute in India and ranked under the top 20 private Institutes. It has the best campus with good and all facilities. This Institute will offer you high-class education and transform you into a confident individual. If you are good at studies or utilise these 4 years you will definitely be placed at good companies.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electrical engineering is well known from this institute and was my second preferred branch so I opt for this branch. Faculty members are generally young 75% attendance is compulsory and exams are conducted on a semester basis. For scoring grade points above 4, you need to work really hard for it and supposed to be regular with your studies.
Placement Experience
The placement rate is a good majority of students get placed through mass recruitment and avg placement is of about 3.5 LPA and highest till is of around 41.3 lakh which is offered by Microsoft. Near about 31% of students get placed in the university itself like some work as professors or assistant professors some lab technician etc. Core companies visit very rarely. Placement rate can be improved in srm and for other campuses as well it ranges near and almost the same.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is given on the basis of your rank on jee Or jeesrm. If you rank under 100 in jeesrm then there will be 100% concession in both tuition and hostel fee. Most companies visit the campus but not the core companies so if you wanted to pursue core braches then you opt for other good private universities like vit etc. As well.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is fine. Annually events are being organised by students there are two main events that are very popular one is technical and other one is cultural. Sports facilities are very good as an Institute spread in such a big acres sports facilities are 10/10.there are various clubs that run by students to improve personality and technical aspects among students like dharma, technocrat etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. You can either opt for AC or non AC rooms that can be either 2 or 3 seaters. I opted for Non AC room 2 seaters and the cost of it is around 160000. Food quality is good as the Institute is located in Chennai, northern or students from other parts of the state may find it difficult to adjust as the taste of food is South flavoured.
