Remarks
This is a very good college but the cost is quite high as compared to other colleges rest all the things are ok with this college. I would suggest if you are not getting any NITS or IITS you can go for it. Btech Admission will be purely on the basis of the performance in the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE (UG) ) conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The candidates short-listed based on their performance in the entrance examination will be called for the counseling to be held at the SRM Institute Of Science And Technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
I Choose this course because I love working with computers and in the coming days computers can also replace humans. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. Their teaching skills are up-to-date and to the mark. Their way of teaching is moderate and what I personally feel is that the faculty members could have been much better than they are now. Exams are taken every month 4 cycle tests followed by model exams and then University Exam.
Placement Experience
From the sixth semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Nearly 100% of students are placed but obviously, the package is different and varies from company to company. The lowest package goes for 3.5lacs per annum and the highest again varies from year to year but it is usually between 40-50lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies being Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and then mass recruiters like Infosys. Sometimes Companies like Cognizant and Accenture to offer good packages but usually, they are mass recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
Registration Fee for all programs with an annual fee of Rs. 1,00,000 and above, the one-time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee for the first year is 10,000. The per semester fee for the examination will be based on the number of subjects registered for the examination. For All Btech Programmes annual fees is more than 3lacs. SRM offers several scholarships, fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious and deserving students. The quantum of scholarships is subject to change from time to time.
Campus Life
I have not gone to the campus yet due to this covid-19 pandemic situation but I can tell that it's an amazing campus. Aarush and Milan are the two national-level tech fest conducted by SRM University.
