Remarks

The main factor was that GIM has stunning educational plans and since am keen on marketing so it was an easy decision that the school was on my wishlist. Moreover, GIM is viewed as outstanding among other B schools because of its instructional method and nature of its first-rate educators, it also has a decent and solid graduated class which helps in future opportunities. Additionally, work profiles coming to campus are very much intriguing and a plethora of organizations come to enroll taking all things together for various specializations.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course remains as before all first-year students 3 terms per year and the aim is to furnish with fundamental data in regards to all issues. The students get their decision to pick their subject which is of their choice in term 4 which is the beginning of the second year. List of all the combinations of majors and minors are known beforehand. Besides college organize an event wherein they get to know all the combinations from the seniors. Also if we get more than 40 students for any of the electives then that subject will be enrolled.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Due to the covid pandemic many SIP didnt get any stipend. Although some even got 50K +. But the fact that it wasn't deferred. Some regular companies do come in GIM courtesy to strong alum. But even after that many people converted their SIPs to PPOs or PPIs which is always amazing news. Overall we get the immense opportunity and can get internships from outside as well.

Placement Experience

4.5

Despite pandemic Placements have been phenomenal mostly people have got 10+ and some may have 8-9 as well. But placecomm has done an amazing job. 200+ are already placed and the remaining 25-30 will get placed in the next 2-3 months. The highest package is 17 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The expenses in GIM would reach 20 l, 17-18 lakhs for fees and 2 lakhs for mess fees. It appears to be very costly for outsiders yet this is the same for all level 2 B schools across PAN India. The fees were not reduced in the pandemic scenario as well. The only good thing is for all the terms we were not on campus we were not allowed to pay the mess fees else nothing changed in the fees structure. Fees are expected to increase for the coming batch, it was the first and only time the fees remained constant. There are several scholarship opportunities in GIM, one must need to regularly check the website as well as keep a check with seniors and professors for availing of the opportunity.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is one a student can never forget. Together with studies, campus fun, events regularly, and whatnot. You are missing a lot if you arent on campus or have never been to hostel life. You can have countless memories to cherish and in the process, you will find some amazing friends. So many events keep on happening that you simply can't miss. Even for sports lovers so many things to look for. College has 24*7 gyms, 24*7 library and all the facilities are top-notch. Above all, you are in GOA

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is compulsory and I dont think anyone is allowed to stay outside the campus. All the rules and regulations are made aware by SAC ie Student Advisory Council. Hostel Warden Committee is also very helpful. The meal is decent they do provide 4 times a day and in the second year, most people cook their own food in the hostel. Food is good but ultimately mess food so please dont have high expectations but yes it is way better than other colleges. Also, you have a plethora of options to choose from so food won't be an issue

Interview Experience

4.5

Offline schedule, no option of online. I believe online came to this term only prior to this there was no scope for online. All the applicants must regularly check GIM Website as significant news is being streaked in there. Once applicants are selected they need to undergo Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview. This process can happen in an interview center or in Goa Campus itself. Applicants are free to choose from it with no compulsion as such. The entire process is fun and we get the opportunity to learn a lot. GD topic was Impact of Smart Cities in India which took place for 15 mins followed by one on one interview totally based on Resume.

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.
