Practice opportunities are very vast in college.Top neet Pg ranks are from medical college thiruvanathapuram.Good academic accomplishments in major exams inside and outside Kerala.Best medical college and hospital in Kerala right now. Patients are more.so lot opportunity to know more diseases and it's studies.1st college option for every neet ug or medical aspirant.

Course Curriculum Overview

My family paved my way to medical field. Faculties are very professional and friendly to students. Completes topics almost for exams.Term exams are actually practical or model exams for university.There are 3 term exams, including a model exam.Syllabus are are actually vast.but questions asked in exams are somewhat repeating types.Easy to gather how to study only if you ask for seniors help. Seniors helps for studies and teach us how to study,time management.each and every thing about exams.So exams are not a matter of worry

Students gets paid from the house surgency itself.25000 is the present stipend.It can increase in present years.After a year of house surgency,can write neet Pg.After Pg admission one can get around 60000 /- per month.We can continue study after 2or 3 year Pg studies like specialising in some fields.

College Events

Campus life is awesome.Some think that medical college don't have campus life.But it's not.Campus life and Hostel life are almost unforgettable in his or her life.Lot of events are there.There is atleast 2 main events and 4 small events held in college. Weekly gathering of friends for discussion on social talks are unavoidable.Sport, athletic events,arts festival,each and everything has a vibe of its own. You can't imagine that these happens in medical college.Interbatch events are most glorified. Euphoria is the Interbatch arts event.It's like a hell of a story to tell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

25000 each year is the fee structure,which exclude exam fees.Lot of scholarships and egrants are available for students for financially backwards.Central sector scholarships, student scholarship are the main ones. During house surgency, monthly stipend of 25000 is offered,great relief for their hard work go almost 1year.Campus jobs like Mess duties are available.Mess assistant for 1 month can gain a maximum of 20000 rupees.Can be assisted only once in the course time.

Hostel Facilities

Food is great. Hostel is like our home.We can do anything we want.Nobody asks anything.It's our world.Night hostel life is also glorified, because it's the time for drinks and enjoyment. Seniors are best friends.Some batch fights are there.That's hell of a story to tell.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Service and care to needed with selfcare

Eligibility of the course is Neet qualification along with a score of around 630 and above for getting into the college for my category OBC reservation benefit with category of Hindu Ezhava. Application process is first apply for Neet online and after result published there is selection for collection opting and after that there is allotment and it can be checked online. After that date for admission is given and after coming to the college they will provide application form, fees can be given directly. Timing if exam is once every 3 months and then final exam and is difficult to cover whole syllabus in study leave.To improve admission process college can provide more faculties to help students....Read More
