Remarks
As you see In north there are very few chemical engineering colleges with an affordable fee structure. Now talking about NIET,there are proper labs(which are very important for a chemical engineer) and the fee structure is average(90,000 inr /year).But i must say faculty is not very good and the campus is small as compared to crowd. Also the college management is not very sports friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview
I got a good marks in chemistry in 12th class,so i opt for a chemical engineering But as the course passes by i saw it is a whole different feild (not related to chemistry, as i thought),so don't do this mistake as i did.But i can tell you the course is worthy and there is a lot of international demand of a chemical engineer.
Placement Experience
As i said there are no campus placements for chemical engineering students. But for IT/CS and sales there are lot of opportunities to grab. But don't loose hope i suggest you to look for MS in countries like germany, canada etc. If you can afford. If u can't afford work in india for 4-5 years and search a job abroad, it's not that difficult for a chemical engineer.
College Events
There is a seperate campus for 1st year engineering students including boys hostel(only) inside that campus,so there are no raging activities.whichever college you choose social life is going to be good it has nothing to do with college. There is also a gym in 1st year (free) campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As i said, fee is on an average side(90000 inr/yr).you can get scholarships from the AKTU counselling programm (if you secured good rank in AKTU paper). I must say campus placements are not good for a chemical engineering students but for CS/IT students there are lot of opportunities to grab.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good and above average. Food is on an average. There is a wifi facility. There are well maintained rooms including 1 bed +1 table-chair+1 mattress +1 almirah for 1 person.
Admission
Yes but it is not so formal. It's a type of counselling you can say and one online aptitude test. But i think these things had nothing to do with my admission honeslty.
