College of Agri. Dapoli Review

I wanted to pursue B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture. I wanted to do career in research on the plant breeding and genetics. This college provides the best platform for research. As this is the government college and due it's practical of all courses based infrastructure I chose this college.

I chose this course because I wanted to do career in research in agricultural plant breeding and genetics. Faculty of college are highly profiled professors. Some professors are graduated from ICAR,Delhi. Estimated student to teacher ratio is 30:1

Campus placement is not offered. After completing course you can for the post like Agriculture officers, Research Assistant, Junior scientist. You get the license of selling agro products,seeds and fertilizers. You can do agro business in agriculture from knowledge obtained from the course. Highest paid package 4 lakh per month for senior agricultural scientist in ICAR Delhi. Placement percentage is 70 %

For Freshers there is Freshers party. Annual Gathering is conducted in the month of February. Many science experiment competitions are conducted. There is Central Library of college which is three storey building. Lakhs of books and journals are available in adequate amount so that every student can get the required book. All classrooms are digital. There are provided with LCD screen and projector. All Labs are well equipped. All lecture halls are provided with Air Conditioners. Many sports competition are held on university level, state level, National Level. College is provided with huge sports complex in which all grounds of all sports are available. Indoor stadium is also available. There is Dapoli Student's Association for help of the students in need.

Total fees (including Tuition and Exam fees) for 1 year for open category is Rs.15650. There are many scholarships for various categories. For EWS there is 50% concession in exam and tuition fees. For girls fees are less. For other categories like SC,ST, NT, OBC there is 100% concession in exam and tuition fees. So for these categories the course is almost free as it is government college and many scholarships schemes are applied.

Hostel fees are 12000 per year(2 semesters) Hostel rooms are well equipped with tube lights,Fan,bulbs. You have to pay separately for mess Rs.2650 per month. Menu is decided upon the mess committee comprised of 4 students. There are many rented room out of campus which cost around Rs.5000 per month including mess.

No I didn't faced any interview, group discussion, or written test for the admission. Admission is based on the exams like MHTCET,ICAR UG,NEET,JEE MAINS,12 th board exam,etc. Also based on the various quotas like Maharashtra quota is given.
