Remarks
The faculty, course curriculum, industry exposure is good. The peer learning experience can be improved, apart from the issue with college infrastructure. The admission process includes WAT, Business Quiz, extempore and PI. The process is extensive but unique from other institutions. I chose this college based on the ranking, reviews and location. I browsed all the available data from various sites, like Shiksha, TIME and many many more.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the faculty members are very approachable. Most of them are highly experienced with PhDs from IITs and IIMs. The faculty-student ratio is 1:60 (for some subjects) and 1:120 (for some subjects). But there are no issues such as lack of attention from teachers, given then kind of interaction we are able to have with the professors. Talking about the exams. They are held timely. There are two exams per semester apart from quizzes, assignments and presentations. But everything is manageable.
Internships Opportunities
My internship experience was great. I was able to secure an internship with an automobile company. It was in the domain of sales and marketing. It was for a duration of two months. The projects involved extension Market research, client interaction and preparation of reports and presentations.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placements after the third semester. That is from the second year of the MBA. The number of companies visiting and the offers extended are decent and the required details are provided on the College website. My plan after getting my degree is to get started with my job, that's all for now.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are approx 15 lakhs excluding the hostel and mess charges. There are various scholarships for students like merit cum means scholarship (the details of which are available on the College website), financial rewards for merit holders, scholarships for students from minority communities/states. There were ample opportunities for students both for internships and placements. A lot of big brands do visit the campus and offer decent packages.
Campus Life
The annual fest is Genesis, that's one event that everyone looks forward too. It offers great learning opportunities along with fun. Apart from Genesis, there are a plethora of events which you will explore and enjoy once you enter the campus. The library is great with a wide variety of books, journals, magazines etc. A lot of student-run committees are also there just like any other B-School.
Interview Experience
There was no GD. Instead, we had a Written ability test. The topic was related to demography. The business quiz was easy to moderate with questions based upon current business happenings. Finally, the extempore topic was related to diversity in India. Then we moved on to the last and final stage of the admission process which was PI. The PI included questions from my academics and my form (the one which you will fill during the registration process). For preparation, I took the help of various materials available online and made a habit of reading newspapers daily.
