My college experience

Firstly I thought to go for Intermediate but many suggested to go for Diploma courses, then I started researching on good polytechnic colleges and I found this college which has a great experience in teaching(ESTD 1981). I have choosed this even it is far away from my home town. Our home town is nearly 150 KM away from college so I thought I may be the only guy who comes to this much distance to study but it's wrong our college has students coming from more than 1100KM. Finally, I felt proud to study in this college. Admission Process takes a bit longer than Intermediate but seat allocation and course and start, of course, won't take more long time. After completing the SSC exams there will be an Entrance test (Polycet) to the polytechnic conducted by APSBTET. We must write this Polycet test to get fee reimbursement from the government. However, we can even join in this college without writing exam but your seat is not guaranteed i.e. if all seats filled by exam written members you won't get a seat.

I've choosed this EEE branch due to my interest in past and even I can't work on computer screens for long because of my eyes sensitivity. Our faculty is highly qualified and student-friendly in the manner. They even don't call us irrespectively and some of them mention the students as sir. Our faculty is even experienced too who may be able to explain the concept in various ways and even in the right manner. All our faculty are graduates and some of them even postgraduates (MTech's) as they have perfect experience in the outside world they will also discuss present trends outside (In our branch). Our college even plans some educational trips in which we went to Thermal power station in Vijayawada in 2019. Our exams are somewhat easy to pass as we have perfect faculty with great experience but if we neglect our studies then I will be tougher and tougher to pass because our board designed regular question paper is easier than a supplementary paper. If we fail, things will be different.

Our college offers good and many Campus placements. From 3rd-year 1st semester, students are eligible for campus placements but some companies even recruit students in second-year 2nd semester and give them training in their company and then hire them. On average, each student must have a minimum of 70% to continue to campus placement. The highest package offered for computer's branch student is 6 LPA (lakhs per annum). Approximately all students wishing to go to the job will get a job if they did not have any backlogs. I am planning to continue to Engineering after completion of my course.

Even our college fee structure is completely in our administration hands they won't increase fee more than the prescribed government. Our AP government is providing full fee reimbursement if we joined through exam since 2018 and it will continue. We have some scholarships like Pragati scholarship for girls. This is applicable if the family has two girl children and have income less than 2,00,000 pa. The amount is about 10,000 pa. and our college students proved we have more probability for these scholarships. Our college provides good Campus placements nearly to all students. Top companies hiring us are Amara Raja batteries(AMARON), Tata Steels, L&T constructions, Medha Servo Drives, Infosys, Tata Constructions, Amara Raja Power systems, ISUZU and many other private companies. We think maybe all students without any backlogs will get job definitely and maybe quickly too.

Our campus life is good and pleasant at all and our college meets all our requirements. Our college has 2 volleyball courts,2 Ball badminton courts and a student gym also which also supports our physical fitness. Our college fest is completed in 2017 and will repeat for every 3 years so maybe this 2021 have the fest but due to covid-19, it may be undone. Our library is nearly equipped with 25 computers and planning for extension and it has many books nearly all books required for all branches and some personality development books, Biographies, Encyclopedias, previous question papers and other research books. It also provides daily newspaper too. Our friends participate in various games and they went up to statewide selections, we have a student who went to the international championship in volleyball and won the match. We(students) won't run any clubs, but all of are connected through WhatsApp groups only. One group has about 490 members.

The only eligibility required to get a seat in college is passing SSC and the only qualification required to enter into college is good to rank in Polycet. Even without writing exam, we can enter into college but we won't get any fee reimbursement.
