Santosh Arelli's Review On Institute Of Public Enterprise - [IPE], Hyderabad

I gave CAT Exam and my CAT score is - 64 percentile. IPE is one of the reputed B Schools in Hyderabad with more the 60 companies visiting for placements every year. Secondly most of the Faculty people are into research so they keep updating themselves in ways of teaching, discussing new cases, etc.

It is a trimester system. Every year there will be 3 Trimesters so in total there will be 6 trimesters. Every trimester will have Internal and External examinations. And it is percentage system and Credit based subjects. After every Term there will be a Viva for which there will be dedicated marks. After 1st year as a part of curriculum every student has to undertake a Summer Internship Project.

College also provides Internship. However sometimes students may not get SIP in the fields which they wanted to work. 80% of the students go with the SIPs offered by the college and 20% of the people try outside with their contacts or by applying in intern sites.

In the last year ie for the batch 2014-2016 , 95% of the Students got placed. and there are few companies which visit IPE every year. A very good number of companies do visit for Marketing Jobs. similarly there are some good companies for Finance too. For operations profile the opportunities are less compared to Marketing and Finance.

Sanskriti is annual event organised by the students. Students from other colleges can participate in the event. winners will be awarded with Prize money. Other than Sanskriti we will be having Marketing Samathi finance samithi HR samithi for dedicated branches.

Students who score 65% and above in CAT are eligible to take scholarship. Similarly in MAT it is 75%. Every exam will have different benchmarks according to the difficulty level of the exam.

Hostel Facilities are very good in IPE. They will charge 100000 rupees for Double occupancy accomodation and 150000 rs for single occupancy. AC facilities TV Room Study rooms are available. Cots, Chairs , Mats, everything will be provided. There will be a security person available 24/7. Complete college is under CCTV surveillance.

Alumni Network is huge and IPE has marked its territory in almost all the Companies. Every year IPE conducts Alumni meet where all the students visit the campus and share there valuable info.

IPE is a deemed university. Exams are held within the college however when it comes to the corrections the the papers are evaluated by a external. And a student should have 50% above marks in both external exams and internal exams at the same time he/she should have 60% overall in order to clear the Subject.

Candidate should take entrance exam like CAT MAT ATMA. Admission process includes GD&PI. Admission Process will be open from March to June every year. Candidates with positive attitude and decent communication skills will be given priority.Competitive exams like CAT are normally held in November month of every year. So prior planning is required in order to get selected for the admissions process.

IPE is well equipped with a good number of Skilled Professors. Most of the Faculty are involved in various research side programmes, publications. And There is a huge scope of learning for the students not only from the academics but also from the events conducted by the faculty people.
