I took SRMJEE exam and i do not exactly remember my rank in it but ya i could manage to get a seat in mechanical engineering. The main reason for opting SRM was its placement record.

Course curriculum is good here which is almost a replica of what is going on in IITs to. Here overall development of individual is looked upon so for that we have soft skills and management courses embedded into our curriculum to.Otherwise each semester is designed in such a good manner that an individual has a feeling of really doing engineering.

No our college does not provide any internship and this is somewhat a drawback here.I hope it provides in the future.

Placement process for our university takes place at the main campus of our university in chennai. Placement of SRM University is amazing with the track record of 85%-90% being placed each year and the number of companies visiting the campus is more than 350 each year.

Every year a technical and a cultural fest is being organised by the college in which colleges around the country take part.Beside this departmental fests also take place in which each department showcase its talent.

Fee structure of SRM university is somewhat a area of concern. It is a bit expensive as compared to other institutes around the country. Tuition fee for a academic year is 1.50 lacs and hostel fee is 90,500 for a academic year which takes figure above 2.5 lacs which is a bit expensive.

Scholarship in my knowledge is availed by those who are from economically weak section or who have lost there parents.

There is no gender based discrimination in the college and all the students avail similar facilities here. There are many cultural societies in our college in which students actively perform and compete at the college as well as the national level. There is nothing sort of politics in the college.

A alumni portal exists where all the students are being registered. Seniors are really helpful as they have more insight into the subject matter and the ongoing market scenario so that helps really a lot.

Exam structure of SRM University is somewhat really hectic and this is what a student has to worry about.With each month having a test which is twice in a semester followed my modal exams and lastly the semester end exam. Weightage of test are 10%, modal exam 20%, internal assessment 10% and sem end 50%.

I opted for SRM JEE and made it to the counselling list. Then counselling call came to me and accordingly i got a seat here.At the time of counselling was asked to explain as to why i wanted to opt mechanical engineering only.It was a interactive session and then finally i got the seat.
