Remarks

I chose this college because I wanted to persue a different undergraduate degree, unlike others. I wanted to choose a unique course. The admission process started by April and interview by the end of June. The college is small in size.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

This course is unique and has a wide range of scope. The teachers are student-friendly and flexible. We can approach them at any time. They will take personal care on all the students. All the faculties have completed their MSW or PhD and have a good experience. The teaching is up to the mark. The students can also clear their queries and doubts personally. The internal exams are conducted twice a semester. Best out of two exams will be considered along with assignments. It's easy to pass in internals.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The college provides fieldwork opportunities to the students. It is the duty of the students to find for internships outside the campus. In PG, it is mandatory to do internships. The students get internships in the field of medical and psychiatric, HR and NGO sectors.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college provides opportunities for campus placement only for the PG final year students. Companies like TCS, Nippon paints, Bajaj and many more companies come in for campus. There is no campus recruitment for UG students. But if the students are interested, they can join in NGOs or service sectors. When compared to placements, the students get placed in renowned institutions with 20K to 50K for freshers. Around 50% of the students get placements in PG. I wanted to be an HR in a renowned institution. There are a reputation and wide scope for social workers from this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is nominal according to me. The fees are around 40K to 55K. Every year, fees for lab and computer is increased. There are a lot of scholarships which students can avail and get benefited out of it. There are internship programs as well.

Campus Life

4.5

The college conducts various events like Dejavu, Intercollege fest and department programs. Every month the college will be conducting some events as it is a renowned institution for social work. The college has around 15000 books for all the departments and it is well maintained. The students can also borrow and make use of books and journals. There are lab sessions, computer labs, personal care rooms, and many more amenities for the welfare of the students. The college also conducts Sports day for two days. Both indoor and outdoor games are conducted. Students can excel in the sports field as well as extracurricular activities. There are different clubs like Sports club, Rotary club, Nss, Eco club and narcotics club. It is narcotics friendly and ragging free campus.

Interview Experience

5

The interview was just about the basic details of the student and the reason for choosing this course. It was a one on one interview process. The students will be selected on the basis of merit. There is no entrance exam for UG courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So, my curriculum in my college is very easy considering I am a part of the social work group. So, that teaches me very different things, the practical knowledge is always greater than the theoretical part in my group and it teaches about humanities. Like I learn about the human behaviour and how to help people who go through difficulties.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. You have opportunities to get placed in various NGOs after completing this course. But only very few NGOs come to college for placement. You will be visiting 'n' a number of NGOs during your course of study. You can approach those NGOs for jobs. Also, you can ask help to your faculty to get you placed in a better job. The average package for this course will be within 2 lakhs per annum. My suggestion is to continue with another degree or try for some government exams or to start my own business after completing the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the diverse curriculum. There are 5 faculty members for a class of 45 students. Most of them have done their M.Phil. The cohort is extremely diverse too. Exams were extremely easy, they were more application-based. Mr. Xavier Vivek Jerry's classes are something we looked forward to daily. His classes were extremely insightful.
