Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because, After studying this course getting job is easy. Job opportunities are there. Student Ratio is 3:2 (M: F). Half of the Faculty Members are Ph.D. Others have completed their Masters. 3 Internal Continuous Tests Happen every semester apart from the Semester Exam. 2 are written exams, 1 is based on a project. Passing the exams is not so difficult if the student remains a little attentive in class.

Internships Opportunities

4

Only now, I am in Training under an NGO called Tomorrow's Foundation. At this stage, my experience is pretty good. I am working as a Field Worker in the NGO. I am working in the Education Sector in teaching Orphans.

Placement Experience

4

After the 5th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. I am in the 3rd Semester. So have not visited any companies yet. 90% of the students get placements. After I get the degree, I will opt for a Master's and will try for a job inside.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every Semester we have to pay fees like 25000. The scholarship is mostly available by the Tamil Nadu Govt and the College Authority. Basically, the Scholarships are based on 2 factors. 1. The Marks of the Student. 2. The Income of the Student's Parent.

Campus Life

4

Annual Fest is Conducted in the Year Ending during Christmas Time. College Library consists of different types of books, which are sufficient for the students for gathering information. College Provides opportunities for those who are really interested and good in sports and other curricular activities.

students who are interested to start their own NGO's can register their NGO under the trusts act or any other act collect necessary funds to get registered and get their recognition, students take up PhD to excel in the field of Social Work and engage themselves in huge projects or even become professors or mentors. The package can be 2LPA after UG degree and can be 3 to 4LPA after PG degree My plans are to prepare for UPSC during pursuing my BSW degree and after that I would give my attempt when I become eligible

Course Curriculum Overview:

So, my curriculum in my college is very easy considering I am a part of the social work group. So, that teaches me very different things, the practical knowledge is always greater than the theoretical part in my group and it teaches about humanities. Like I learn about the human behaviour and how to help people who go through difficulties.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. You have opportunities to get placed in various NGOs after completing this course. But only very few NGOs come to college for placement. You will be visiting 'n' a number of NGOs during your course of study. You can approach those NGOs for jobs. Also, you can ask help to your faculty to get you placed in a better job. The average package for this course will be within 2 lakhs per annum. My suggestion is to continue with another degree or try for some government exams or to start my own business after completing the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the diverse curriculum. There are 5 faculty members for a class of 45 students. Most of them have done their M.Phil. The cohort is extremely diverse too. Exams were extremely easy, they were more application-based. Mr. Xavier Vivek Jerry's classes are something we looked forward to daily. His classes were extremely insightful.

Placement Experience:

The college provides opportunities for campus placement only for the PG final year students. Companies like TCS, Nippon paints, Bajaj and many more companies come in for campus. There is no campus recruitment for UG students. But if the students are interested, they can join in NGOs or service sectors. When compared to placements, the students get placed in renowned institutions with 20K to 50K for freshers. Around 50% of the students get placements in PG. I wanted to be an HR in a renowned institution. There are a reputation and wide scope for social workers from this college.
