Remarks

The college was good but not the management when it comes to following the procedures and time tables. I however, felt that I shouldn't have been here sometimes. The college doesn't offer placements much and many students focus on Govt. jobs and I really don't understand why these guys have admitted into MBA.

Entrance Preview

I took entrance examination TSICET-2015(Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) on 22/05/2015. I had chosen this entrance to be a practice test so that I can revise my knowledge to decide on my CAT preparation. However, I scored 121/200 and secured a very good rank of 139. So,I decided to admit through ICET itself and I opted for JNTU HYDERABAD because it is a top rated college besides OU and it is somewhat near to my home when compared to OU.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum was cool with a good number of subjects and a project to be submitted at the end of the 4th Semester. The electives I chose for first and second semester are Project Management and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The 3rd Semester electives I chose for my Specialization HR are Performance Management, Training and Development and Management of Industrial Relations.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provided opportunities for Internship after our 2nd Semester. The companies I remember were Paytm and SBH.

Placement Experience

1.5

I do not think there are much placements in our college. I really had less communication with my Seniors but as far as I know, very few placed into companies. Our Director and Senior faculty have good contacts and have been trying to get good placements this year for us.

College Events

2.5

At the time of joining, we had a Freshers day and soon later, we celebrated Sports day. There were sports like Cricket, Badminton and many more. The cultural festivals like Bathukamma were being celebrated recently at our college and these events will build a good relationship between the students and the faculty of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for a middle class family with a tuition fee of 27000 each year and development fee of 4500 in 1st year and 3000 in 2nd year of the MBA course. The problem is that the fee to be paid at the beginning of the year. So, few students face problems arranging the financials at the start of the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Government offers scholarship for the economically backward students but I'm not aware of any loan facility/scholarship offered by our college.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life was cool but few of the classmates were more of childish behaviour. Our class consists of around 15-20 boys and 10-15 girls. There were seminars arranged and few guest lectures being conducted at our college. The library is equipped with a good quality books, magazines and newspapers. A lot of study and learning's can be made.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I'm a day scholar but I know my friends stay at the hostel. The hostel caution deposit is 10000 and 3 months mess charges to be paid in advance at the start which contributes to a total of 16000 INR. The hostel room is sharing wise for 4 students and there are separate blocks for UG and PG students.

Alumni/Alumna

I really had no interaction with our seniors and I sometimes feel that I should have interacted with them for the guidance and support.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs were not hectic at all. There is always a schedule followed most of the time and the exams at the end have kept us busy for the month. Sometimes, during the exams, I used to feel emotionally struggling due to study of various chapters of each subject.

Admission

There was a notification released by the TSICET committee to apply for the TSICET. I applied it and I got the admit card to write the exam with the center details by logging into the TSICET website. I wrote the exam, got a very good rank and was waiting for the notification of admission. Soon later, the notification was released for certificate verification and exercising of options online for the course. I've done it and I got the seat allotted at JNTU School of Management Studies. I paid my tuition fee through challan, and reported at the college with all the mentioned certificates and fee challan copy.

Faculty

3.5

There were senior faculty for Finance and Marketing. The other faculty were more on contract and never know when the classes happen. Few subjects in the 1st Sem and 2nd Sem were never dealt by any faculty. The administration is not worried of the students career much but more of about the own rules, fees and their own benefits.

To settle in the good financial sector and to improve my skills. The student ratio is less in MBA courses. The faculty is less supportive. The faculty is well educated with Ph.D. and Doctraits, Method of teaching should be changed. There was no time for preparation for term exams. It was quite difficult to pass.
