Remarks

I chose the college due to the following factors- - Good infrastructure - More than 80% placement - Decent fee structure - Hostel facilities - Hospital in campus - Ragging-free campus - Market and other facilities available very close - Easy commutation from clolege to the city

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum & Academics- - Syllabus is according to 2018 UGC guidelines - Some of the subjects taught seem irrelevant but other than that the curriculum seems well-designed - First semester had no computer based subjects and all of a sudden we had so many subjects from 3rd semester that it is overwhelming Faculty- - Most of the faculty are graduates, very few are post graduates or have PHDs - Not very well-versed and sometimes it becomes difficult to understand them - Ms Helen was my English faculty in 1st semester and she was really good. She organized multiple GDs and quizzes in class which made it really fun and informative.

Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are around 70% but they are decreasing every year especially this year due to the Corona Virus. Placements in CSE and EEE departments are good but in others most of them don't get placed Around 469 companies had come for placements in 2018 including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Siemens, Hyundai Motors, Fuji Xerox (Japan), Bank of America, Honda, SAP Labs, Michelin, CISCO, Shell India and Vestas to name a few. The average package is around 4 lakh but there are students who get 6 lakh- 10 lakh also. 2-3 students get super dream package of 30 lakh +

College Events

Campus Life- - The KTR campus is completely ragging-free - The seniors, staff and others are also really helpful in getting adjusted to the environment - We have multiple technical clubs like SRMkzilla, Project Team, Gen Y, etc about which we are told in the orientation and we are encouraged to join them Events- - Everyone really enjoys Aarush and Milan but they can sometimes be really wasteful as the tickets are very expensive and there are not many fun activities or even events that are worth watching. - This year in Milan a lot of students were injured due to some chaos that was created by some non-SRM students. Extracurricular Activities- - We have many quizzes, webinars, hackathons, etc. which are really informative - All the festivals are celebrated very well

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
