Student's Review On Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Of Technology & Management - [SMVITM], Udupi

The college provides excellent studying environment with good nature around, quality teaching from the facilities, student friendly faculties who provide good guidance regarding research, projects and future endeavours. It's one of the only few college in Udupi and is also accredited by NAAC with A grade. I opted this course beacuse of my interest in automobiles and industries.

The course syllabus is updates to some extent by providing 2 electives from 5th semester. With new subjects like AI, additive manufacturing, automation, robotics etc. Regular workshops are held by people with industrial experience. Faculties are very student friendly, teaching is very good, provide good guidance in any problem faced my students. Overall experiened and excellent faculty.

I have done internship in Konkan railways for a duration of one month. No stipend was provided. The process I got it is through my hod we got the opportunity but we had to pay some amount to the Konkan railways.

Various companies like Infosys, TCS, Talentio, Manipal Technologies, Deduce Technologies, qspiders, specbee, Tayana, Sanria, Usha Armor and many more. Placement department is very active and try to get companies to our college even if they couldn't they try to get as many pool drives possible. Alumni networking is good to some extent in providing suggestions, interactions, workshop etc.

Very good campus life and still improving each year. Various technical events like IIOT competition held every year. Aviskar science competition for PU students conducted in our college. Varnotsava which is an intercollegiate technocultural event, manthana which is again a technocultural event held within the college, annual day.

E pass scholarship which provides about 16-18k every year which is an initiative from Karnataka Government which was informed by our college.

Campus has very good infrastructure with provision for both indoor and outdoor games. Indoor games like chess, carrom, table tennis etc. Well equipped gymnasium, volley ball court, basket ball court, handball court etc. Well equipped labs in all the departments. Good library facility with all necessary technical and non technical books, access to ebooks, magazines, newspapers, rooms for group discussion, mock interview, seminars, self study etc.
