Remarks

Please, do not take admission in this collage, as some of the branches are already closed. Until & Unless you do not have any option, do not make a mistake. It might happen, you are in third year, and government may close your collage.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for State Level Entrance to get into this collage. My score was 91/200 and I wanted to go for Mechanical branch, and I could get admission to any collage with such a marks, so I left with no options, and that is why I took admission in this in this collage.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

Not a single professor working here, have a good technical command. Collage is corrupt. Stuck in court cases. Professors are not paid their salaries, in turn they do no teach anything to the students. Students survive everything. No course there will give you research opportunity. There's no freedom to elect the subject. We had to select what collage wanted to. In fact we had to choose final year project what our HOD wanted. Though there were one or two professors were good in technical knowledge. Collage do not focuses on research.

Internships Opportunities

No internship is provided. Students on their own will have to look for it. Though sometimes help, if they know about companies.

Placement Experience

1

There were placement when I was in collage. But Students on their own get the job, may be because collage is approved to Mumbai University. I seen IT companies, Banks, BPO's come to our collage, and select some students. I don't know about current situations.

College Events

2.5

In four years, I enjoyed once two freshers party, because principal do not give any money for any events. For annual function is funded by trusties, and that's why are celebrated. Good no of students participate in the events, and those who don't want to participate may be they are seriously not interested or why can not invest so much of time in all these, because collage is in village.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive I say, as far as standard of the collage is concerned. When I was in last year, it was around 70k. And it kept on increasing from 1st to last year. If you belong to category, please do not expect that you will get it. And even of you get it, it may take 2-3 years. I am still waiting for my freeship of the year 2011.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are generally provided by the Banks itself. Collage do not interfere in this. I never heard of any of the guy received the scholarship.

Campus Life

1

Gender ratios are good. Almost every student living in the collage hostel enjoys their life. But some of the students do very serious studies. No religion issues. You will find politics at the time of collage General Secretory election, or hostel General Secretory election.

Hostel Facilities

1

Not a good hostel at all. You will find no electricity ,when collage is not able to pay the electricity bill. And you may suffer current shortage may be for a month. I still remember, when I was in last year, my friend used to come to my home for studies because there were no electricity, because collage did not pay the bill. But the used turn the generator on from evening to morning. But from morning, again the electricity cut.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, collage seniors are very helpful. Recently I called my senior whom I never met, to ask him about HPCL Graduate Apprentice Trainee interview. As he has worked with IOCL as Graduate Apprentice. He guided me very well, what they ask, import topics, subject priorities.

Exam Structure

Those were nice days, since very few lectures and labs were conducted. If we had lab then professor used to ask us to complete assignment or do something. Actually very few practicals we did. Exam structure is according to Mumbai University, and exam question paper has good standard.

Admission

I allotted a seat through CAP round in the month of September. Then I visited the collage, and completed all the procedures in a day only. Though all the admission information is provided by the government in advance while registering for CAP round.

Faculty

0.5

Starting from the Head of the department, he is on of the corrupt person ever seen. And other professor will have follow him, may be because of the internal reasons. Teaching quality is very poor. I personally think government should interfere and close this collage.

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.
